Originally, I was dead set on purchasing a cheaper, evilbay alternative, but that wouldn’t have sufficed. I spent countless days searching for a perfect case for my Leica M4-P. I spent countless hours looking at quality, craftsmanship, materials, and not to mention asking around if a case will it fit a Thumbs Up. Unfortunately, none of the cases I looked at were Thumbs Up grip compatible and modifications would needed to be done to make it fit. I eventually gave up and just thought about ditching the Thumbs Up, and just using my camera with a case. No Biggie.

After all of that “research”, YouTube Videos (Steven Huff Photo),  and internet reviews, I finally found a high quality, and beautifully handcrafted case for my M4-P. A fine leather craftsman by the name of Angelo Pelle (Angelo Smaldore), excellently hand crafts high quality Italian leather cases, straps, and camera bags.

Thinking back to the Thumbs Up issue, I proceeded to e-mail Angelo, asking him if he could modify the case to fit a Thumbs Up, but like the others, no bueno. However, I ended up ordering the case anyway and don’t regret that decision one bit.

The Testa Di Moro Waxed leather color was the perfect balance between brown and black which suited my M4-P perfectly. After receiving the case from Italy, I quickly slipped my M4-P right in. The fit, craftsmanship, and leather quality was excellent! Oh and did i mention that it smells like actual leather? YES IT DOES.

The only thing that was missing now was my Thumbs Up. However, after much saltiness, out of curiosity, I decided to attach my Thumbs Up and try on the case. Guess what, It WORKED! It literally fits perfectly with the case on! A Leica camera, 50mm lens, Thumbs Up, and Angelo Pelle case equals HEAVEN.A little Bougie, but how could you resist a case that looks this good? haha.
