Seasonal Earth/Water Obelisks and Junimo Huts

I made the Earth Obelisk (left) and Water Obelisk (right) into some sort of a small Japanese Zen garden when placed together. I paired the style with an alternate Junimo Hut as a bonsai tree on a rock/boulder. I haven’t tried it in game, dunno how it looks like yet. The bottom one is inspired by Japanese stone lanterns. Which one do you prefer?

When I was a kid, whenever I saw these, I’ve always imagined small spirits live there because they look like a tiny house.

Hidden Tea House

This is my alternative shed. Looks best with Ran’s Faux Stairs and Platform and I’m using here a part of DaisyNiko’s Overgrown Garden Farm and edited it a bit.

Love this look to bits!!

Animations

Sōzu:

a traditional device found in Japanese gardens; composed of a bamboo tube that, when filled with water, revolves to empty and makes a clanking sound to scare away any crop-eating animals.

I got caught up with these animations (I didn’t originally intend to do these but CP Animations began to exist) for the Japanese Buildings. So far I was able to make 1. It’s pretty cool to play with that mod, giving the farm more life. Would love to add some small animation details for the farmhouse and other buildings.

I’m adding some craftables to the content pack, hence it’s taking longer. Also my cat gave birth this weekend so I didn’t have much free time to finish these. :3

Angel’s Japanese Buildings - download here

I’ve been working on the seasonal version of these buildings. Taking a while because of work but I’m excited for it! Might need some feedback though so I’ll be posting progress pics.

Also I’ve teamed up with other people to work on Japanese Valley.

Phase 1 would have to be me finishing the seasonal farm buildings and the interior furniture.

Phase 2 is working on the actual town buildings/houses.

Phase 3 is creating the Japanese outfits for the NPCs (both portraits and sprites). Not gonna be seasonal though because that’s a LOT of work.

Phase 4 is for the interiors of NPC houses. But this one’s gonna take a long wait.

Good news is in 2 months I’ll be free from any IRL responsibilities and will be focusing on pixel art and personal projects. :3 I can’t wait!

Tried really hard to get The Great Wave into the tiny tiny chest. How does it look?

Will include some craftables for this new update.
