I made the Earth Obelisk (left) and Water Obelisk (right) into some sort of a small Japanese Zen garden when placed together. I paired the style with an alternate Junimo Hut as a bonsai tree on a rock/boulder. I haven’t tried it in game, dunno how it looks like yet. The bottom one is inspired by Japanese stone lanterns. Which one do you prefer?
When I was a kid, whenever I saw these, I’ve always imagined small spirits live there because they look like a tiny house.

I have a beat-up Bamboo Fun (CTE-450) wacom tablet I’ve been using for about a decade hahahhh. I think it was wacom’s standard beginner’s model back then.
It’s obsolete so they don't make these anymore. Their current generation of tablets should have better tech now though.
Wacoms are in the pricier range but you pay for quality and considering my first tablet has been alive for so long, I’d say they’re worth it. More so if you’re going to draw a lot.
Also going to upgrade soon and personally sticking with this brand.
By necessity, unsure if you meant tablets in general or the iPad Pro specifically.
If in general, you can still make digital art without a tablet but it does make freehanding lines easier compared to using a mouse. I don’t have experience drawing with iPads so can’t give much input on them but this 2018 review, along with the other videos on his channel, is quite informative!
For art programs, I’m currently using PaintToolSAI, Photoshop, and MediBang Paint Pro.
I’ve been working on the seasonal version of these buildings. Taking a while because of work but I’m excited for it! Might need some feedback though so I’ll be posting progress pics.
Also I’ve teamed up with other people to work on Japanese Valley.
Phase 1 would have to be me finishing the seasonal farm buildings and the interior furniture.
Phase 2 is working on the actual town buildings/houses.
Phase 3 is creating the Japanese outfits for the NPCs (both portraits and sprites). Not gonna be seasonal though because that’s a LOT of work.
Phase 4 is for the interiors of NPC houses. But this one’s gonna take a long wait.
Good news is in 2 months I’ll be free from any IRL responsibilities and will be focusing on pixel art and personal projects. :3 I can’t wait!
Had to take a selfie right before our last stop- Pelican Town. We finally had enough of the city life and decided we both wanted a peaceful and simple life. Having a piece of land on our own is a bit much, but we’ll take care of it. Even if it takes a long time and a lot of hard work.
