My 2024 redraw of Ameli Tennehill, one of my oldest OCs. Now she's rocking two outfits--her personal outfit, and a new PMC outfit that makes her look more in line with her fellow team members within Angelus Tech.
A line-up and banner for the five private military bigwigs I’ve been redrawing lately. They all form the Grand Cardinal Companies, five massive private military organizations that essentially run all major military power in their setting. Despite all being referred to collectively as Grand Cardinal Companies, they’re actually competitors, and more often than not have tense business relationships.
They’re all basically big corporate frenemies with guns.
Continuing my redraws of old characters. Here's one last military leader, Leon Mathias, who runs a private military science organization called Angelus Tech.
His timeline is pretty short, but really he’s been around since 2008 or so. It’s just that until 2017, I never formally drew him outside of scribbly pencil doodles in old sketchbooks. He’s actually the father of another character I draw a lot more often, a girl named Luna. You can find her by searching the #Luna Shaitan tag in my blog.
Speaking of, however, both Leon and his daughter Luna are getting a name change. Their old last name, Shaitan, to be totally honest, I just pulled from the name of a shotgun in an old Armored Core game (though I think the word Shaitan actually has Islamic roots? If I remember right, anyway). Their new last name is Mathias, so any drawings of Leon or Luna will be tagged #Leon Mathias or #Luna Mathias from now on.
Some *very* old characters. I usually redraw most of them every once in a while to see how they change over the years. Ameli in particular is sort of my benchmark girl, since she’s one of my favorites to draw (you might have seen her a bunch of times on this blog already).
The first four characters make up the main members of the Lunar Corps, an elite squad of operatives with experimental powers that work under Angelus Tech. Lynette is the leader, and Ethan is the newest member--which you can tell by the fact that he's still concerned about Angelus dress code. I’ll have more about each of the members in their own posts some other time, so this won’t be an even bigger wall of text than it already is.
The next two characters, one of whom I posted before, are teeechnically affiliates of the Lunar Corps. Marley is the main scientist they consult to see how their bodies take to the superpowers and augmentations. Garland is an unofficial member of the Lunar Corps, and is actually Marley’s husband. He was one of the first to go through Angelus Tech’s Rebirth Program for superhuman augmentation, but the procedure went wrong and most of the prototype subjects died. Garland survived, but he was still left horrifically mutated. However, despite being more feral and monstrous, his size and strength make him a destructive force that’s very useful with the right supervision, so sometimes Marley has him accompany the Lunar Corps if an operation requires a special amount of brute force.
Another line-up of characters for another company in my pet project stories, Angelus Tech. It’s the largest military company of the five that dominate the story’s setting, and these are only some of the characters within it.
The first image is of (from left to right) Filip Schmidt, Marley Newman, and Elena Vitayev with her dog Roy. Filip is a talented engineer and mechanic in Angelus’ Research & Development Sector, though his eccentric quirky personality and weird habits tend to put people off despite the amazing weapons, vehicles, and equipment he can put out. Marley Newman is the head scientist in the R&D Sector, specifically in Angelus’ experimental human augmentation research to turn chosen soldiers into superhumans with specific but powerful abilities. Elena Vitayev is an experienced soldier in Angelus’ Combat Sector, and when she isn’t training rookies, she works with her dog Roy to track specific targets, such as rogue experiments. She isn’t part of Angelus’ super soldier program, but her skills, intuition, and experience give her all she needs to play on par with them.
The second image is of Leon Shaitan, the leader of Angelus Tech, and his daughter Luna Shaitan. Luna is the heir to leading the company, who has been living among this private military environment while wanting to balance it with a normal life. She may already know the headquarters and its people like the back of her hand--even being friends with many of them, but now she’s of the age where she must really start learning how to take charge of the massive company, placing a lot of weight on her shoulders that she’ll need to know how to carry. On top of that, her different views and intentions for the company put many of Angelus’ other higher-ups on edge, but Luna is aware of that, and knows she’ll also have to resist those who think they can manipulate her because of her young age.
