The Angliru. The toughest climb in Pro Cycling? Possibly. It’s not the longest, at just 10km. The avg gradient is also ‘just’ 9.9%. But that’s only half the story, as the 2nd half of the climb rarely dips below 13%, and also includes a 400m section at 22%, hitting 23.5% at its steepest point. It’s savage.
