Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen is a former esports player, notably known in the DOTA and WoW (World of Warcraft) communities, winning twice World Cyber Games (WCG) titles in 2004 and 2008. He met his wife Cassandra Ng, previously known as "PpG" who was a gamer, model and Miss Singapore finalist during a trip in China on September 28th, 2006. They got engaged at the BlizzCon 2009 and have been married since 2010.

I'm Just An Ang Mo

As I travel around Asia, I have come to have a deep heart for these people. Their deep culture and rich heritage are extremely intriguing to me, an American from a country that is not even 300 years old. The Chinese roots run deep, thousands and thousands of years, and their lifestyles reflect it. Almost everyday it seems I clash with their culture, and as a result of this, learn something in the process. This is not a bad thing, mind you. On the contrary, I think that every American should come to Asia and experience some part of this at one time in his or her life. 

As I create this blog, I'm going to share my experiences as an ang mo in Asia. Currently, my travels bring me to Malaysia, but someday they may take me elsewhere. I hope that my experiences can help your understanding of Asian culture, and hopefully it may even cause you to have a deep love for these people and their aestheticism to their culture.
