I think I’m finally getting the hang of him
Alright, fellas, listen: Living in the moment is REALLY not all it’s cracked up to be.
I live in the moment. Most of the time. The highs are really high - I appreciate the smell of vanilla, I feel the sun on my skin, I carelessly banter with my friends - but even the good feelings can be detrimental; I give in to the numbness of netflix and solitaire, I forget about the passage of time, I put off work because I’m not thinking about the future when I will inevitably have to do it... I’m just thinking of the NOW. I’m living IN THE MOMENT.
And the lows are really low. When I get turned down from a job offer, when a friend is mad at me, when I burn my dinner... it’s like that’s all my life will ever be. I can’t even remember what good feelings are like. I chalk this failure up to be my entire personal worth. I can’t think past it.
And people tell me to live in the moment.
Stop telling me to live in the moment, assholes.
I'm tired of talking. No matter how many times I speak I get cut off. No matter how many times I try to explain the situation I just can't get it through your thick skull. The answer is forever no now, I don't want whatever it is you have for me. Leave me be.

I've been filling out job applications and the other day the sketch and lineart attacked me out of no where, so between apps I have been steadily working on this. I realized that the first thing I wanted to show for myself in 2015 was a full piece, so alas this needed to be finished. <3 I am still working on those commissions, so don't you worry your lil butts. uwu Meet Jordin, a former werewolf hunter who got betrayed pretty bad by some close friends of her's and ended up a werewolf. This lady is an insanely old character of mine, created when I was in about forth or fifth grade or so. She's been through a shit-ton of redesigns and recently my Ari and I got into a roleplay involving her. Apparently this re-ignited my undying love of her and now I am eager to hopefully pop up more arts of her steadily while I work on other things. She's giving me quite the art buzz. <3 And believe it or not, I spent way to freaking long on that background. I was after a very specific effect, which I didn't capture as well as I wanted but it's decent enough. I've seen a lot of green and green-blue lighting used in different shows/films as a color representing a fleeting of sanity/deterioration of the mind, so naturally to off-set my last full piece I had to use a cooler color. This is especially important, because halfway in I realize this piece has too much in common with the other one and after being too proud of the tattoo (that is only on one shoulder), I did not have the heart to erase that in order to at least flip this the other way. Apparently I really love backlighting. Lord help me. Hunting the Hunter, Jordin Hawke, artwork (c) me. Please do not copy, reference, trace, or redistribute without my permission.
So true.
