Afterward, while standing along the side of the road and awaiting a tow truck, I watched the morning rush hour pass me by. I clearly saw the faces of many harried, impatient, angry, overwhelmed drivers as they sped along. One woman quickly cut into the gutter lane and passed much too close to me. Her eyes were wide and intense. Her mouth was agape. Her expression frightened me; it was a profound mix of fear and aggression.

Don’t be in such a rush.
Give yourself plenty of time; don’t perpetually push the envelope.
Enjoy the journey … even if it’s a rainy, nasty-traffic morning, and you’re en route to work.
