@anguisfell so an Angel walks into a Demon’s Flat... Plotted Starter
Anthony hummed a little to himself as he took the stairs up to his flat with a bottle of rosé in one hand and a neatly wrapped box of pastries in the other. Tonight the angel had felt like he deserved a night off and had stopped to indulge himself with a sweet wine with a sweet treat to go along with it. As much as he adored the listeners of his show and was pleased as punch to talk with them and play music there were times when he wanted a day off or two. The station could essentially run itself without him there to at least provide musical listenings still so he wasn’t too bent out of shape for it.
The angel juggled the bottle and box in one hand so he could open the door and nudge it open with the toe of his shoe. As he crossed the threshold into the flat, however, something didn’t feel entirely right. A sharp shiver ran through his corporation that made his skin crawl. In fact, he felt a sense of vertigo run through him, stumbling further into the flat to try and catch himself. The sharp sound of the glass from the wine bottle hit a table and he haphazardly tossed the box on it right after. Hands grasping the edge to steady himself to let the dizziness fade.
After a few moments, he began to realize that was not the only thing that didn’t feel right.
“This is not my flat...” he mumbled standing up straighter as golden eyes looked around through the rose-tinted lenses.
“I’m sure that was the right door. Had to be the right door. But that’s- this-... this isn’t right.”
The angel’s body tensed as he felt that he wasn’t the only one alone in this flat. A hand slowly reached down to the fountain pen that had been clipped to his vest. A small golden thing with a single golden snake wrapped around it. Anthony clutched it almost as if he was ready to defend himself it while turning on the heel of his shoe. The presence he felt feeling demonic and yet oddly familiar in a way that he just couldn’t quite place.
“Hello?”
The question was simple as he called behind him ready to prepare himself for what may come next.
