Get To Know Me
Imagine this to be like a first date (well, it kinda is). Imagine we know nothing about each other, and most of what you can tell about me is based on the way I’m dressed. As the day unfolds, perhaps we take to liking each other a little more, or maybe the conversation runs dry and we choose never to speak again. Whatever happens on day two, love me, hate me, one thing is for sure, you will never forget what I wore!
Life is a series of hellos and goodbyes, let’s make sure we are dressed well for both.

What is your personal style statement?
I don’t particularly follow trends. I just put things together and go with what works with my body type and makes aesthetic sense to me.
In the constantly evolving world of fashion, what are some staples that are always a part of your wardrobe?
I’m really into colour blocking nowadays, so I’d say a nice pair of neon shoes, a bright blazer with a casual pair of jeans, a basic white tee and a neutral handbag.
What is the most versatile piece of clothing in your wardrobe?
I have a pair of grey Marc Jacobs high-waisted pants that I love trying new looks with. I crop them up, leave them long, change them around with different tops and belts.
What is the most prized possession in your wardrobe?
My most prized possession would be my leather jacket. It’s a motorcycle jacket that I like to pair with dresses and flowy tops for a feminine look.
What is the oldest item in your closet?
The oldest item in my wardrobe is a pair of Black jeans that I purchased quite a few years back, they fit like a glove. They’ve discontinued the brand at most stores now, but I love them too much to ever get rid of them.
Are there any family heirlooms in your jewellery collection? If so, which piece is your favourite?
My grandmother gave me an exquisite pearl necklace that I absolutely love to wear.
If you were invited to the Oscars who would you wear and what look would you opt for?
I would probably go with a Zuhair Murad gown and opt for a very feminine look. I find his work rather unusual; it is sure to stand out in the crowd.
What are the top five things on your wish list for this season?
The top item on my wish list is a velvet Chanel boy bag and an Elie Saab dress. My wish list keeps changing as I come across new items.
What was the last item you splurged on?
A pair of Christian Louboutin heels.
If you could fly off to your dream vacation right now, where would you fly to, and what are the first five things you’ll pack?
I would fly to Venice and the first five items I’d pack would be a pair of nice shades, a long Marc Jacobs dress, my tinted moisturizer, a pair of strappy sandals, and of course my favorite perfume – Miss Dior Cherie.
Which magazine or website is your fashion Bible?
I still turn to Vogue for all my fashion updates.
Bare-faced or light layer of make up for an every day look? Which make up products do you swear by?
A light layer of makeup for me. I swear by Bobbi Brown vitamin-enriched primer and Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer.
Are you a minimalist or do you like to accessorise each outfit?
No outfit is complete without the right accessories. I’m big on statement necklaces, chunky cuffs and bracelets.
How often do you experiment with your hair? Any crazy cuts or colours you’d like to try?
I’m constantly experimenting with my hair. Whether it is a new cut, or colour – there’s nothing I have not tried. I like to have fun with my hair.
Favourite day bag?
My favourite day bag is the Kate Spade Parka. It’s a statement piece, yet I can wear it with everything. I adore it!
Favourite pair of jeans?
AG jeans
Shoes that make you drool? Christian Louboutins and Christian Dior
Everyday watch?
Miss Marc watch by Marc Jacobs
Necessary extravagance?
Designer shades
Guilty pleasure?
Godiva chocolate-covered strawberries

Favourite local and international designer?
Favorite designers keep changing, but at the moment I like Sania Maskatiya’s outfits and, of course, internationally my loyalty lies with Marc Jacobs
