Animal Languages - Christmas gift from ?? years ago. Finally finished after reading 80% and getting frustrated. The author has a PhD but the academic rigor was Not There in this one. Fascinating topic but "some people post highly edited videos on TikTok of their dogs pressing buttons therefore canids can understand human grammar" is Not It.

Mr Churchill's Secretary - I like the time period and I like badass women being spys and solving mysteries but there was a lot going on here and it became too ridiculous for me. Not continuing with the series.

Summer Skin - impulse library ebook checkout and this was??? Very??? There was not a lot of plot going on but it was beautifully written and I keep thinking about it. The best sense of place I've read in a long time. Probably not going to work as well if you haven't also been a university student in Australia. Hot and humid and sexy and filled with people who have better music taste than I do.

Austenland - Bad! So bad. I was prepared for silly but I was still hoping for sexy romance. This was so cringe it made my genitals dry up and retract. Also the disk hoard watched the movie recently (without me, damn time zones) and apparently that is equally terrible.

Zelensky: A Biography - Technically didn't finish this until February but it took up a lot of my January reading time so it's going here. Awkwardly written (which might be the translation), not a linear biography, and would presumably have been more readable for someone who already knew about Ukranian politics. I don't want to be mean because it was a Christmas gift but I don't recommend it.
