I really love that the Baxian film really go "So what if you're Gods/immortals? We're Wuxia Heroes." lol
This is actually making me remember about my frustrations in reading TGCF where I like the beginning when Xie Lian is helping others without ascending since the first part of story covered his life when he descended or before he ascended but I lose interest when he became involved in heavenly affairs so I'm like "Maybe being a God is not the only way in helping others... Let's leave this place and return below." If you ask me what happened after Blackwater arc, I honestly don't remember anything onwards.
So I recommend the film to Priest fans. It's like a mix of Liu Yao, Zhen Hun, Da Ge and Tian Ya Ke. I remember Liu Yao also has a lantern right? Like the antagonist need the gong to die for the lantern? And shou almost ascended to godhood but refuse it because he want to be with his shixiong gong who's implied to have a shorter life thanks to his cultivation path. That's pretty much the story of Baxian's Zhongli Quan and Lu Dongbin.
No shot, just finished watching this movie; it's PEAK CINEMA
It's called Mosley, and it's an excellent 2019 animated film about freedom from oppression, respecting elders, preserving culture and beliefs This proves a point I made on a previous thread about how there is value in low-budget films

I think much of the internet has warmed up to it after Schaffrillas' video, but in my experience it's still the most polarizing film in the series, so curious what Tumblr thinks!
