This visualisation, which has been very popular on social media, is this animated video by Population Connection, a grassroots population organisation in the United States. Using a timeline linked to historical periods, such as the Han Dynasty, the video shows how the population has grown and is expected to grow in the future. Population data is neatly shown with shining dots.

This dataviz by FlowingData is a simulation of 1,000 people's average day. It's based on 2014 data from the American Time Use Survey, made way more accessible by the ATUS Extract Builder.

This infographic by Bloomberg shows a timeline history of Time Inc. It uses a scroll that’s typical of social media sites like Facebook and so is easily navigated by the user. The infographic is animated with ‘bubbles’ emerging from the central timeline showing the company’s acquisitions. The size of the ‘bubbles’ are scaled in proportion to the value of the purchase.
