So I found a bunch of drawings from 2000 that may of been one of my first attempts at drawn animation. At the time I didn't have a PC or any way of seeing if it even worked, so I decided to scan a bunch of them in and GIF them to finally see what they were like moving.
Obviously heavily inspired by the OVA anime, there is a whole chunk more re-telling the origin story as seen in Sonic the Comic, using cut out pieces for limited animation like mouth movement and all that, but those would be too time consuming to scan and sort out so I won't bother. This is pretty wonky but I didn't know a thing about how to make animation work at the time and for what it is it's...cute. :P
Btw it's another one of those GIFs that doesn't run on the dashboard.
