On November 1, 1999, Toonz Animation opened its doors in Trivandrum, India, with the launch led by Uthradam Thirunal Marthanda Varma, the King of Travancore. Starting as a modest service studio, we embarked on a journey that would resonate worldwide, captivating audiences with stories that inspire wonder.
Over the years, with trust from industry pioneers, our vision grew: Why not bring our own stories to life? Through relentless ambition and creativity, Toonz transformed into a full-scale powerhouse. Today, our family spans over 1,000 creatives across 10 countries, embracing storytelling across every platform.
As the industry evolved, we asked, "Why not?" and embraced new ventures in gaming, licensing, AR/VR, and beyond. Milestones like Indiaโs first animated series, Tenali Raman, our first feature film, Hanuman Returns, and collaborations with Marvel, BBC, and Lionsgate propelled us to new heights.
