I've been thinking about Feanor and how he would be toward his sons' possible partners. I have an impression that he would be slightly protective of his boys, assessing if their future partner is good enough for them or has no ulterior motives. I think he would be pretty open when he sees that the partner means no harm and has genuine feelings for his son. But then I've been imagining a scenario where the partner makes such a first impression that Feanor immediately likes them.
Like this one scenario, a nerd reader who likes to collect valuable rocks pulls up to his home with a planned date with one of his sons, and Feanor discovers they can find crystals and gemstones in the wild with incredible luck. I think Feanor would immediately go "you know what, you're part of the family now"
So, what do you think the partner would have to do that would make Feanor go like "Hey, son! Get your butt down here! Come meet your new wife/husband/spouse!"
So the conclusion to get Feanor to find you likeable is to have some rocks, even if it isn’t shiny 📝. That means, no rocks = disliked 😂. This would be perfect for all those who like collecting crystals and various rocks. Reminds me of penguins who would gift their partner a pebble for courtship—this will be done between reader and whichever of the sons, of course.
Even better! Get an S/O who makes even shinier and nicer rocks than the Silmarils. Now Feanor has something to boast about more 😂. “My son's partner made sparkly rocks more beautiful than the Silmarils or any other gems, and they're a part of my family now!” He’d be a proud dad
This further concludes that the Noldor are ravens. Smart, like rocks and sparkly objects, pretty (and grudge holders lol)
