closed ◦ FLAIL,
In this place coated in darkness, Maka wondered if this was really where her friends had been dragged to by the Goddess. Truthfully, she can only hope that they weren’t. Finding them in such a place will not only prove difficult, but dangerous as well. She could barely see or hear anything. It was like all life had been drained from this area and left her to fend against the hair-raising silence. Perhaps she was too far from civilization… or perhaps loneliness was simply meant to be.
How long has she been by herself? Far more than she wanted, that’s for sure. Ever since her partner’s sudden disappearance, Maka had been searching high and low looking for any indication of where or why he would just up and go. There have been talks back at the academy, vicious rumors that she didn’t care enough to recount. Even the teachers didn’t have any leading clues. All she could do was going about her days pretending that this didn’t bother her. It was not until more people started to disappear that this became the school’s primary issue.
But it was already too late. By that time, the Goddess Pandora came and sent her here, of all places.
Lonely and frustrated, she kicked the outline of something tall and thick with all her might. A tree that didn’t even stir—it was one of many trees actually. So she arrived in a forest? Unfortunately this little fact didn’t help her situation in the bit. She needed to get out of here… but how?
“Calm down, Maka.” She muttered to herself, fists uncurling despite not knowing when they formed in the first place. “You can’t think straight like this.”
