Animating Walk Cycles The walk cycle positions are contact, down, passing position and up. To remember the walk cycle positions, you can use the acronym: CDPU (CD pee-ew. You can imagine a man walking, holding a CD with stink lines coming out of it as he says pee-ew because its so smelly) Thinking of imaginative imagery using the acronyms can help cement them in your mind and recall the positions of the walk cycle more quickly.
