hi, i hope it's not a bother, but before, i asked about the animstack tags, and how it wouldn't work for me. I tried renaming them to just "1", "2", "3", etc and added [bg] & [fg], but it still won't work :c when i extract the frames, they're automatically named "frame 04791 [16ms]", for example. I have gimp 2.6, if that makes a difference? thank you again!
hey! You mean add [bg] on the last layer and [fg] layer, right? If so, I think it's not your human error, dear. It's the version of the animstack itself that doesn't fit to version 2.6, you can read this article of the animstack for more informations!
hi, I have a question. when I try to use animstack tags, it always says "Plug-In 'Process AnimStack tags' left image undo in inconsistent state, closing open undo groups." and I end up not being able to use it. I've added the [bg] & [fg], and placed the plugin in the "scripts" folder, but it still says that. could you help me please? thank you!
I have a problem that's not very similar to you, I found it's because my layers are contain .bmp name like that (example: The Hunger Games Bonus Feature Trailer[15-58-14].bmp) but when I renamed it all to just ordinary name, it worked, anyone has the same problem to me and the asker?
with the animstack script, every time you flatten the layer groups there is put a '+' before the name of the layer, now i noticed that the script crashes every time when i try to use it another time on the image. Am i the only one with this problem?
I have a problem that if I create a new layer, and the window pop out, and rename it on that window [bg] the animstack wont work, but when I don't directly rename it on the new layer window, it works well, is it like that?
Hi, I was just wondering with the animstack script, does it only work with version 2.8? Because I have 2.7 now and can't get 2.8 to download onto my computer! Thank you! xoxo
Yes! The creator of the program said so :)
Quick question. I follow all of the steps that you mentioned when using animation stacks and flatten images when trying to add text to my gif. However, my text just flashes briefly when it is finally exported. I didn't have that problem in 2.6 when I did them "by hand". I'm sure I'm missing something simple. Can you help suggest what it could be? Thank you.
I don't know what happen to your gif, but I explained everything about animstack and you followed all the steps, anyone else has the same problem as this anon? if so I'll try to find the problem
for the anon about the text: it is certain that a script works on every OS as long as the program it is written for works on that OS
Is there a way to add a texture to all layers of a gif at once (or in less steps then adding them to each layer one at a time)? I tried to do this by using the AminStack script, but it didn't work. Could you create a tutorial for adding textures to gifs? If so, much appreciated!!
without animstack, you can only duplicating your texture layer and merging down it manually :/
put your texture layer above the very bottom layer gif. and click duplicate icon and then click upper layer icon repeatedly until your texture is on the top of the gif layers. like this
and then merge the textures down manually
