Headcanons for the verse:
C&R International is a conglomerate company founded by Chairman Han during an unknown time. Jumin Han's father, Chairman Han, is the current chairman of the company, and if anything were to happen to him, Jumin would take over. C&R is a large and successful company which is preoccupied in many different departments such as fashion, banks, pharmaceuticals, and etc. Tthe company mainly focuses on exports and has no interest in competing with local small businesses.
Though the company is mainly based in an unnamed flourishing town in the Mideel region, the quickly rising power of Shinra Electric Power Company has inevitably caught the interest of Jumin’s father. Interested in claiming a foothold as a stakeholder of ShinRa, Jumin travels to the expanding city of Midgar, wanting to see for himself what these “mako reactors” can do and their potential for the whole world.
Despite his father’s eagerness, Jumin is still a little skeptical about the whole thing. Can Reeve Tuesti, the original creator of mako reactors’ design and concept, convince him to become an essential investor?
εγλ 0000, October.
[Midgar is a city floating approximately 50 meters in the air, linked to the ground by train and highway transit. We utilize a total of eight mako reactors, sequentially numbered starting with the #1 northern reactor, to supply electricity to the city.
Construction continues smoothly; Shinra Company Headquarters and Sector 4 are the last on the schedule to be completed. The headquarters interior in Sector 0 is complete and already in operation. The exterior is slated for completion in two years, while the surrounding city will be finished in seven years.
Reeve Tuesti, Director of City Planning]
As his eyes scanned with meticulous care through the contents of the email, the young corporate heir thought the content could be considered impressive. To a degree, a little too impressive, even.
To think it came from someone just barely one year his senior had him intrigued. Hard to believe he was reading about the project started by a simple architect. It appeared the quick promotion of Reeve Tuesti in the company was well deserved.
Shutting down his portable device, gray eyes spaced out of the window from where he sat in the back of the helicopter that had been sent for him personally all the way back in Mideel.
Below the floating aircraft, the young, but steadily growing size of Midgar City had already reached a size far exceeding that of the one Jumin himself came from, already become the biggest urban center of the Planet.
A thing of marvel, considering how fast it had reached this magnitude. Though there was something about that fact that also unsettled him. Growing fast didn’t necessarily implicate a positive endeavor. Tumors also grew fast, for instance.
Clearing his throat, he adjusted the knot of his tie at the base of the neck. The pilot on the front used a hand signal to inform him landing procedures would begin soon. The helicopter began its descent towards the rooftop of the tallest building in the city, at its very center.
Jumin would heed his father’s wishes. This was not a time to let politics do the talking. He was here to appraise ShinRa’s potential, and how supporting it with investments could mutually benefit its advancement as well as that of C&R. They both knew that soon, they’d be surpassed and unable to appeal the President. The ‘mako’ revolution would not be stopped.
Dark messy bangs were swatted by the wild winds of the helicopter’s slowing blades, when the door was opened for him to be invited off the vehicle. Touching solid ground under his leather shoes was a welcome sensation.
