It was late, when Roger woke up to a gentle, but urgent tugging on his arm. He rolled over, and found a set of baby blues, much like his own, but just a shad darker staring at him in the dark. he blinked, rubbing his eyes as he sat up, busting his head on the bunk above him. He cursed, laying back down, wondering how in the hell that hadn’t woken up Killian.
“I... had a bad dream...” His half sister sniffled, answering his unspoken question. “Ani, it’s two in the morning, I've got school...” He looked at her, and saw the tears trailing down her face, the fear in her eyes, and he paused. “Please.” She whispered.
Roger sighed, scooting over to make room for the five year old. “Come on up.” Aniyah climbed in beside her favorite big brother, nuzzling into his chest, clutching a plush bunny to her own. Roger rubbed her back, humming a mindless tune as he tried to soothe her back to sleep. it wasn’t too long before he followed suite.
it was probably 3 in the morning When Aniyah rolled over one night, opening her eyes for a split second, and almost screamed when she saw something staring back at her. She sat up in a flash, her head bouncing of her head board. she yelped, rubbing her scalp, and wondered if Roger would come check on her.
She blinked, staring back over at the set of eyes, that stared back at her. “Alice?” She asked, flicking on the light. And there was her five year old niece, standing beside her bed in clear distress. “What’s wrong? And why are you buggin me and not your father?” The teen groaned, burying her face into her pillow. “I had a bad dream.” Alice whispered shyly.
Aniyah gave her an empathetic look, and shifted around, picking up her tiny frame and setting her in the bed. “You can stay, as long as you don’t kick the shit out of me, okay?” Alice gave a little giggle as her aunt reached over to turn the light out. “Papa said no cursing.” “Eh.” Aniyah grunted, wrapping an arm around her. “What he won’t know, won't kill him.” she mumbled, before pulling Alice a little closer and humming a tune she very vaguely remembered.
Roger leaned in the door the next morning, smiling at his girls, curled up in bed together, knowing damn well what took place last night. Aniyah’s head bouncing off the wall had actually woken him up, and he heard the whole conversation, even the soft humming, he’d let the cursing slip just this once. His heart swelled, thinking back to all the nights Aniyah came to him crying, and seeing that she did the same thing for his own daughter... He felt a happy tear slip down, before he quietly shut the door and went downstairs to start breakfast.

Friendships
Aniyah
I watched Roger flee off to his room, leaving Ronnie and I alone. Ronnie seemed to tense a bit when the door shut, and I wondered what he was thinking. “So...” I rested my head against his shoulder. “So...” He repeated, nervously. “You can relax, i’m not going to do anything.” He blushed, “No, it’s not that, you just...” He stumbled over his words. “Yeah?” “You seem really bipolar.” I shifted around to get a better look at him. “Oh, how so?” He swallowed, eying me warily. “Well, last time I saw you, no offense, you were kind of a huge bitch... now you are like, all over me.” “ Well, you were sticking your nose in business that doesn’t concern you.” I reminded. He winced at the sharpness of my voice. “I was just curious, you didn’t have the same accent as your brothers.” I sighed, getting frustrated... but my nightmare flashed in my mind, and I felt the need to make amends with this boy. “Half-brothers.” “What?” “Roger and Killian are my half-brothers, as is Liam. They all grew up in England, until my father met my mother, and moved to Ireland... I was born sum years later, and lived their all my life until my father died a few weeks ago, and I was forced to move to America.” “Right... What happened to their mother then?” “I don’t know... I don’t feel I have the right to ask.” The mood seemed to turn solemn, and we both quieted down.
We sat in basic silence, for a long time. Ronnie reached around me, grabbing the remote to put something on the TV, seeming to lighten the mood. “You into Ink Master?” He asked, scrolling the guide as he searched for what he wanted. “I don’t know what that is...?” After a brief description, he flicked the show on, shifting me around so I sat beside him, instead of in his lap.I was fascinated with all the beautiful, and sometimes utterly hideous art. “What is your opinion on tattoos?” Ronnie asked, resting his arm around my shoulders casually. I shrugged. “I think they are cool when they aren’t disastrously ugly... when I was little, Killian would let me scribble over his tattoo with a marker, and regret the hour it would take him to scrub off the ink.” He chuckled. “Would you ever get one?” I nodded. “A small one, yeah.” “Would you let me be the one to do it for you?” He grinned. “Mm, maybe if I knew you longer than a day.” I winked, giving him a grin. “Oh, right...” He blushed, carding his hand nervously through his hair. “So, you want to be a tattoo artist?” he nodded eagerly. “Hell yeah!” “Are you an artist?” His head dropped. “Hell no...” I giggled, reaching around for a sketch book i’d been working on earlier In the day. “I can teach you the basics, if you'd like?” He narrowed his eyes. “Roger taught you, didn’t he?” I nodded, opening the book and reaching for a pen. “Since I could hold a crayon.”
Apparently, Roger had tried to teach him once, but their personalities clashed horribly, and the effort was stopped before their friendship would shatter. Its a good thing I was extremely patient, or Ronnie wouldn’t be able to get far in his dreams. All of his previous art teachers had given up on him, from what I had seen, it seemed like he was a very guarded person when It came to learning. After I broke down that initial wall, he stopped being stubborn, and let me actually guide him in the right direction. “So, what do you want to do when you grow up?” He asked, doing a small sketch of a dog. “I actually want to do this, be a teacher.” I answered, taking the pen back and showing him how to shade. “Roger mentioned once that Liam had been a college Professor?” He stated, but his voice went up an octave, signifying it as a question, I nodded. “Mmhm, he teaches Literature, I want to be an art teacher.” “Cool, you’d be a pretty awesome one!” He grinned. “Thank you...” I blushed, reaching up and rubbing a spot behind my ear. Ronnie laughed. “You do the same thing as Roger you know?” “Well, he was my biggest influence growing up, it would make sense to pick up his little ticks...” “You’re cute.” My heart stopped, and I felt my face burn up, while Ronnie had a goofy grin on his face.
It wasn’t long before the conversation had been changed to dating, and sexuality... “So, you have a boyfriend?” I asked, after Ronnie had talked about his current partner, a boy by the name of Peirce. He nodded, relaxing back into the couch. “Yeah, and You? What are you into? Are you Straight, Gay, Bi, Pan, Ace?” I bit my lip, looking away. “I am Straight, I guess, But I haven’t dated anyone... Haven’t had the time with school and moving...” “You didn’t like any guys at your old school?” He asked, tilting his head to the side, narrowing his eyes. I shook my head. “No, I went to an all girls private school.” “Hm... and.. you’re sure, you aren't into girls?” He asked again. “No, I've never felt any attraction to the girls at my school.. Most of them did accuse me of being a lesbian though, and would often verbally abuse me.” His eyes softened, and he gave me a small smile. “Yeah, I’ve gotten beaten up a few times now for being gay... even when I had girlfriends.” He scoffed. “You are Bisexual?” “Yeah, I’ve dated girls and guys over the years... Some of them weren’t too thrilled to know i’m Bi, I've had a few relationships end because of it.” I blinked, confused. “Why?” Ronnie shrugged. “well, for one, I had a guy try to convince me that I was just confused, and Only needed him to set me straight...” I snorted at that, and he gave me a smirk. “I laughed too when he said it, and dumped him right after.” He added, crossing his arms. “Does Peirce know you are bi?” “Yep.” He answered, popping his ‘p’, before turning to me, and looking me in the eyes. “Back to you now, you really haven't gone on a date before?” “No-” He gasped, dramatically. “Does that mean you haven’t had your first kiss either?”
I blushed, glancing away from him. “No, I haven’t...” His face was suddenly really close, his nose only a centimeter away from mine. “So... would you kiss me?” He asked waggling his eyebrows, His messy hair and silly grin giving him an almost childlike appearance. “I uhm...” I gulped, staring at him, his violet eyes full of playful mischief. “If you’re offering.” What am i doing?! he has a boyfriend! His breath caught, and he inched a little closer, his eyes darkening just slightly. Is he really going to kiss me? I closed my eyes, feeling a little overwhelmed, but there was no backing out now. “I’m going to assume, this means you are a virgin?” He whispered, his voice was husky with lust, and i felt his breath against my skin. “Mmhm...” I hummed, my tongue snaking out over my lips in anticipation. I just barely felt his lips almost brush against mine when I heard a door open and the spell was broken. I opened my eyes to find him on the other end of the couch with his arms crossed, while Alice padded down the hall and into Roger’s room. “Hey, I should probably get on home, it’s getting late...” My heart sank, as I fought back the tears that threatened to fall. “Oh yeah.. sorry...” He stood up, walking briskly across the room. “I’ll see myself out.” The door slammed shut, and I ran off to my room to hide from the embarrassment. Could that have been any worse?
It was the next morning, when I heard my door open. “Hey, my cuddlebug, time to get up.” Roger whispered, patting my back. “Just leave me alone...” “What’s the matter, Love?” He asked, as I felt my bed dip. I groaned, rolling over to face him. “Last night went awful...” I whimpered, curling around myself. “How so?” I told him what happened with Ronnie, feeling even more mortified now than before. He sighed softly, laying down with me to pull me closer. “You and Killian... were always such the romantic dreamers.” I sniffed. “I just feel stupid, he has a boyfriend... I don’t know why I thought I had a chance.” “It’s alright, Love.” He soothed gently. “You are young, and hopeful... and it is your first crush.” He teased ruffling my hair playfully. I grunted, burying my face in his chest. “What was your first crush like?” I grumbled into his skin. “I uh... never really had one.” He shrugged, and I sensed a tenseness in him. “Really?” I asked, pulling back to look at him. “I've never really experienced the desire, romantically or sexually...” Roger explained, casting his eyes away. I blinked, kind of confused. “But... Alice?” I questioned. He just shook his head, giving me a sad smile. “Can’t say I never tried...” I wanted to ask more, but It was early in the morning, and he was clearly uncomfortable. “Anyway, come on up, I have a toddler expecting me to make her breakfast.” He grinned, sitting up and taking me with him. “And she isn’t a very patient one.” He reminded, already in the hall. I sighed, giving a slight nod. “Might as well face the day.”
After breakfast, Roger decided to take us out for the day, since Emma didn’t need him at the station. “There is a farmers market at the park this morning, I figure we could pick up some fresh produce and maybe put an end to your constant whining.” He teased ruffling my hair. “Can we get marmalade, Papa?” Alice asked, before he could answer she gasped, dramatically smushing her hands to her cheeks. “Papa! can we get stuff to make our own marmalade?!” He was at a loss for words, he clearly didn’t want to go through the process of the homemade treat, but he didn’t want t dampen his little girls excitement. I scooped her, booping her nose with my finger. “Maybe, or,” She gave a sweet giggle. “We could save your papa the stress, and pick up some ingredients for a more simple project... I brought your Grandma’s recipe book with me from Ireland, maybe we can find something?” I grinned as Alice nodded furiously, always excited at the mention of her namesake. I set her down to the floor, patting her on the back. “Go get dressed then, okay?” She giggled, running off to her room, with Roger on her heels, since her fashion sense wasn’t exactly... Developed.
I giggled, before heading into my room to change, slipping on a pink sweater, with a wide neckline, exposing my shoulders. I clipped on a cute black choker, that had a small pale blue heart on the front. I yanked my hair up into a high ponytail, clipping in a light blue bow to the hair tye and letting my bangs fall free. I put on a pair of shorts with white lace on the seams and ends of the legs, and some thigh high socks with little kitty faces on the ends. I don’t know why I felt like trying so hard today, but I felt good looking cute. I did my make-up trying my best not to hide my freckles, when I was satisfied, I decided to put in some contacts turning my eyes pink for today. I slipped on some black converse sneakers, before skipping out into the living room.
Roger was wearing a dark blue flannel, and some old faded jeans. “No black today?” He shrugged, fiddling with his fake hand. “Killian had gone to the effort of buying me some new clothes for our birthday a while ago, I figured i’d try them out.” “They look good, blue really suites you... brings out your eyes.” I grinned. He gave a shy smile, giving me a quick glance. “As does your pink sweater... is there a reason you went all out today?” It was my turn to shrug, crossing my hands behind my back. “I dunno, wanted to feel cute today.” I leaned over to get a look at Alice, who was tugging at his pants, wearing a sweet yellow sundress with little daffodils climbing up the skirt, her hair tied up in cute curly pigtails.
“Aren’t you precious?” I grinned, kneeling down to pick her up. She blushed, hiding her face behind her hands. “Aw, can’t take compliments, just like your papa.” I teased, grinning at Roger. Alice pouted at me, about to make a remark when she blinked, looking at me, completely confused. Her hand flew up, her finger almost jabbing me in the eye. “Your eyes look funny!” I dodged, gently grabbing her hand and guiding a safe distance from my face. “Aye, i’m wearing contacts.” I explained. "How many sets do you have again?” Roger asked, as he grabbed his wallet and house keys. “A lot, every color of the rainbow, I believe.” “Why so many? Your natural eye color is beautiful.” Roger reminded, opening the door for me. “Well.. I don’t know, sometimes blue is.. boring.” I explained, standing in the hall, cradling Alice, as he locked up. He turned on me, looking me straight in the eye. “You are an artist aren’t you?” I nodded, glancing down at my feet. “Than, you should know when a masterpiece is just that, and doesn’t need any further changes.” He smiled softly, gently lifting my chin with his finger. “Now, lets go get you some damned fruits.” He beamed, and my heart swelled.

Nightmares
Roger and Killian sat either side of me on the couch, Alice was still napping, while the two of them made sure I was alright. Roger had handed me one of his sketchbooks and a pen, it was a silent understanding between us, that left Killian very confused. Once i’d been old enough to hold a crayon, Roger would calmly ask me to draw out my nightmares, And help me make them less scary, like a little art therapy session... It helped me at least. I closed my eyes, and took a shaky breath, before sketching out the scenes that had played in my mind.
I made two drawings, one of me, sitting on the floor with the other two in the room, and one of the woman holding the bat. when I finished I dropped my pen, handing the pad off to Roger. he studied my first picture quietly, since I couldn’t make out the faces in my dream, i’d simply scratched them out, but I sketched the rest of them out with all the detail I could. “This is you in the center... is the little girl.. my Alice?” His finger traced over the little girl, that I noticed, did have common traits with my niece. “I couldn’t see her face.. but It could be...” I whispered shyly. He nodded thoughtfully, looking over the other figure. “This one looks kind of like Ron...” “I guess...” Roger smiled. “See, there, people you’ve seen in the day, you know they are safe and healthy, nothing to worry abou-” he faltered when he flipped he page. His jaw locked into place, and his face turned an unhealthy pale shade. I bit my lip, afraid that I did something wrong.
“Aniyah... who is this?” He growled, through grit teeth. “I... I don’t know, I've never seen her before... but she... she’d....” I couldn’t complete my thought, s Killian grabbed for the pad, taking a look. His eyes narrowed. “Right down to that obnoxious hair of hers...” “Did I do something... wrong?” I whispered shyly, feeling like I was in that interrogation room at the station. “No, sweetheart... Killian soothed, before sharing a look with Roger. “Can you tell me, what exactly happened in your dream?”
Roger
I sat with Aniyah, feeling frustrated. Her mind had been plaguing her with nightmares, and it needed to stop before it got too out of hand. “Am I in trouble?” She whispered softly. “No, Princess, I just...” I traced my finger over the drawing. This, was a sketch of Alice’s mother... How did she draw a perfect image of her, having never seen her before? Killian rested a hand on her shoulder. “Hey, AJ, how about you go hang out in your room and get it sorted?” She looked between us. “Go ahead, Ani.” She got up, scurrying off like a scolded child. Once she was out of sight, Killian took the pad back from me. “Should we tell her, who this is?” I shook my head. “I don’t want to scare her further...” Just looking at the sketch made my skin crawl. “She’s only scared now because she doesn’t know, keeping her in the dark is just going to put her in even more danger.” I sighed, scrubbing my hands through my hair. “You seriously believe this is a prophetic dream?” He nodded. “Aye, what else could it be?” “Your belief in the supernatural is infuriating.” I groaned, pushing off the couch and going to the fridge for a drink. “Oi, you’ve known me for 26 years, you know full well why I believe in it, and yet you still pick on me?” He whined, pouting like a certain 5 year old I knew.
I handed him one of the beers he would keep here, before taking a seat in my chair. “Listen, make no comment to Aniyah, last we need is her being fearful of a dream.” “Pfft... Whatever...” My patience with my brother was thinning. “Killian. I’m serious.” He rolled his eyes, but nodded. “fine. I’ll keep my mouth shut... but you are the one going to check on her.” He dipped his head towards the hall. “Right, She probably thinks I’m angry with her... Are you heading out then?” I watched him chug his drink, and get up, tossing his can in the trash. “Aye, Swan wanted to have a date night.” “Date night...” I repeated quietly. “Yeah, i’ll see you, Tell the girls I love them and all that.” He waved his hand dismissively, making his way for the front door. “Will do, tell Emma I said hello.” he grunted, kicking the door shut behind him.
After a few minutes, I got up to check on the girls. Alice was waking up, just as I opened her door. “Hey, Starfish, did you have a good nap?” She gave me a sleepy smile, rubbing her eye. “Papa!” I grinned back, crouching beside her toddler bed. I really regret buying this damned thing, it’s just going to end up in storage, or in the garbage... but my Starfish insisted on the pink race car bed. “Did you have any dreams, my little love?” She nodded, reaching out to me, and latching on. “Yeah... Me an Ani got to go... Safari.....” She slurred, her voice still heavy with sleep. “Really?” I stood up, carrying her out to the living room. “Yeah.. Saw... Lions...” She yawned, nestling into me. “Did you have fun?” I chuckled. “Yeah, we had tea with some elephants...” She was waking up, and there was a wonderful sparkle in her eyes as she explained her dreams to me. “Oh, really?” She nodded enthusiastically. “Yeah, they weren’t very fond of my biscuits though... Elephants must not like chocolate.” I set her down on the carpet, pulling out some of her toys. “Alright, well, we can talk more of your dream later, Starfish, Papa has to talk to Ani for a while, so can you be a good girl and play quietly?” She nodded, before biting her lip and glancing between me and the telly. “Yes, you can watch some of the telly, not too much though, alright?“ she grinned wide, as I took up the remote, turning on Netflix and setting her up with some Ruby Gloom it was a bit of an odd show, but she absolutely adored it. I left her alone, and went ahead to check on Aniyah.
When I opened her door, she was face down in her bed, her headphones on, and very loud. I could very clearly hear the lyrics, even from across the room. I sighed, sitting in the bed, and moving to lay beside her. “Don’t even think about it.” She hissed. i froze, wondering what in the bloody hell i’d done to suddenly set her off. Her head whipped up, glaring at me harshly. “You will take off your damn boots before laying in my bed.” I just threw up my hands, and did as she asked. I kicked them into a corner, and got myself comfortable. She relaxed, tucking her head in her arms. her music was still blaring. I gently tapped her headphones with my finger, and raised a brow. she didn’t even move, and I heard the music quiet down. “Yes?” She asked without looking at me. I just tapped them again, hoping shed take the hint to remove them. she groaned, and the music was silenced, but she didn’t move to take them off. I rolled my eyes, before hooking my finger through the band and flicking them off. she didn’t appreciate that, but didn’t move to replace them either. “Aniyah.“ She blinked, but didn’t budge. “Are you upset with me?” I asked, actually worried she was angry. “Well, I confided in you, and you sent me to my room, so yes, i’m a little annoyed.” I winced. “I’m sorry, love I just...” I didn’t know how to respond... how the hell could I tell this child, that she drew a perfect image of the women that had abused me for three years? She grumbled, rolling over to face me. “it's whatever...” She rested her head against my chest, draping her arm over my stomach. “Just shut up and cuddle me.”
I did as she asked, smiling softly as she tucked herself into my side. “You’re still my little cuddle bug, huh?” She pouted, a slight blush crossing her face. I wrapped an arm around her, relaxing. The door cracked open, and I saw Alice’s face poking over the end of the bed. So much for playing quietly... “Papa!” “Yes, Starfish?” She scuttled to my side, raising her arms up. “I... I wanna cuddle too!” I nodded, lifting her up. She wormed her way between me and Aniyah. I shifted around, noticing the both of them were annoyed. “Is their a problem, girls?” “No Papa!” Alice squeaked, turning around and nuzzling into my chest. Aniyah was clearly annoyed, but she let Alice stay, shifting around so we could all fit comfortably on the bed.
We stayed like that for a few hours, until we were hungry. I wasn’t in the mood to cook, and Aniyah just kept bitching about our lack of ‘real food’ so I just ordered out again. I placed an order at Granny’s, really craving a gilled cheese, and her homemade chicken soup. I know, we’d already had her food today, but well.. there aren’t a helluva lot of options in this town. I shot Ronnie a message, seeing if he was available to grab it for me, offering him a free meal with us. He took me up on it, promising to be over with the food.
I helped him carry in the bags, handing him a twenty for his services. Alice bounced around our legs, while Aniyah had gotten in the shower, unaware Ronnie was staying for dinner. I chatted with him about how school was going when his face paled, and his jaw went slack. “Hey, Roger, is there any washcloths?” Aniyah’s voice floated from the living room. I turned, and saw her standing in the hall, in nothing but a towel, that wasn’t exactly covering her. “In the hall closet, one of the upper shelves.” I pointed out, just wanting to soo her off quickly. She nodded, if she noticed the young man in the kitchen, she made no mention of it. She disappeared back down the hall, and I gave Ronnie a curious glance. He groaned, covering his head with his arms, and crouching low to the ground. “This damn girl!” I bit my lip, withholding the chuckle trying to escape. “Does she realize, what a fucking minx she is?” He growled, resting his chin on the counter. I shrugged. “Watch your words lad, that is my sister you are referring to.” He hummed in response, standing up and digging around for his food.
Aniyah came back a few minutes later, wearing one of my t-shirts, and no pants. I had an overwhelming feeling she was trying to ruin this poor lad. She walked, no strutted to the counter, digging through the bag. I sighed. “Aniyah.” “What? I’m not doing anything!~” She spoke sweetly. “I’m gonna use your bathroom.” Ronnie shot up from the couch, tearing down the hall. “If he’s doing what I think he is, because of you...” I grumbled. Aniyah shrugged, taking a seat in my lap. “What? I didn’t do a damn thing.” “You’ve spent too much time with Killian...” She giggled, giving me a crooked grin. “Go put on some damn pants.” She pouted, but at least she listened and got up.
After a few minutes, Ronnie returned, taking his seat on the couch, and keeping his eyes only on his food. Aniyah followed after, wearing shorts now. Though, instead of returning to her previous seat, she decided to harass Ronnie. She picked up his food, setting it aside and perching herself in his lap, her arms draping over his shoulders. I was thankful Alice just ate her nuggets and went to play in her room. “Hi~” “Hi...” I probably should have interrupted and saved the young man from my sisters ridiculous game... but I was tired. I went ahead to bed after I ate, trusting my sister to behave herself, to some degree at least.
I changed into a pair of sweatpants, forgoing a shirt tonight. I caught sight of myself in a mirror. I absentmindedly stared, brushing my fingers over the scars she’d left. i winced at the memories.... The fear... The anxiety... The pain. I closed my eyes, trying to force those thoughts away. She was gone. She couldn’t hurt Alice or me any longer... Just get to bed, and sleep, forget about all that nonsense. I climbed into bed, trying to calm myself down and get some rest...
It was pitch black, but I could still see her face clear as day. She’ crouched down over me, her fingers curling around my chin, forcing me to meet her eyes. “Do you understand, just how worthless you are?” She sneered, her other hand taking hold of my blunted wrist, that she had ripped off the prosthetic of only moments ago, having chained my good hand to the bed frame. “No one will want you, I mean, what use would they have for a man with only one hand?.” She tossed my arm aside like it burned her. I felt both of her hands press against my chest. “You are lucky to have me, to take care of you...” She gave a disgusting grin, before her nails dug into my flesh. “And I will take good care of you, my little detective.” She cooed, dragging her claws down my chest, pulling out hair, breaking my skin. I winced, trying to be as still as possible... If I was just quiet and ‘uninteresting’, she would move one and leave me be, until her next episode. She cackled, running her fingers through my hair, and yanking it out roughly. I bit back the cry that tried to escape, casting my eyes downward, in hopes to hide the few tears that began to pool. I felt her mouth glide over my cheek, and up to my ear. “Don’t worry, my darling, I plan to play with you for hours, and give you all my love.”
I sat up, shaking. My skin burned where She had touched me, and I struggled to breathe. It had been a year since she’d plagued my dreams... so why now? I tried to get under control, but my mind was wild, and I could have sworn I saw Her standing at the end of my bed. I shouldn’t have told Killian... I should have just stayed silent, kept it buried. “Papa..?” Alice’s voice cut through me like a knife. I tried to pull myself together and give her a smile, but I failed. “Papa?” Alice climbed up into the bed, crawling into my lap. I swallowed hard, screwing my eyes shut. “I’m sorry...” I cried out. I felt her hands touch my face, and she brought my attention to her. “Papa, the mean witch isn’t here anymore...” She spoke softly, her small fingers stoking my cheek. “She can’t hurt us, okay?” I swallowed trying to get my voice back... something back, resting my head against her small frame. She hugged me tight, and I couldn’t help but fall apart. “I’m sorry, Alice...”“It’s okay, Papa... Everybody needs a big hug once in a while.”
She sat with me quietly while I calmed down, gently brushing her fingers through my hair like I had done for her through all her nightmares. I reached and hugged her close to me, kissing her forehead. “Are you all better, Papa?” I nodded weakly, feeling exhausted. “Good.” She pushed on my chest, and I let her lay me down, hugging me tight. “Don’t worry, Papa, i’ll keep your bad reams away.” She promised, and I almost wanted to cry. Alice was the purest little girl i’d ever seen, and it made my heart ache. “Thank you, Starfish...” I whispered, holding her closer. She beamed up at me, proudly. It took a while, but I did finally drift back off to sleep.
I woke the next morning to find Alice tucked into my side, holding my hand. I thought about last night, and felt guilty for putting that on her. She wiggled around beside me, showing she was starting to stir. I sat up slow, hoping to let her sleep just a little longer, but this was Alice, and she seemed to have a sixth sense for when someone was awake. Before I knew it, her bright blue eyes were staring up at me. She blinked a few times before giving a brilliant smile. "Morning, Papa." I smiled back, ruffling her hair. "Morning, Starfish, sleep well?" She nodded eagerly. "I had a dream you were a pirate captain, and we got to sail all over the place!" "Aye? I was a good pirate captain, right?" "The best!" She beamed hugging me tightly. “Right, Love, what would you like for breakfast?” “Marmalade toast, and eggs!” I nodded, gently carding my fingers through her hair. “Sure thing starfish, go wait in the kitchen while I wake Ani, alright?” “Okay, Papa.” I watched her trot off before I slumped back in my bed, rubbing my hand over my face. I felt exhausted... “just have to power through it...” I muttered before getting up and getting ready for the day.
So, I was watching Shane Dawson's video series. and the entire time I imagine the Jones brothers and co going on a ghost hunting trip just like this, and so this happened! I whole heartedly believe in the paranormal, and am not trying to make fun of them at all. If you don’t believe, not a big deal, just don’t be a dick to those who do, and I hope you can enjoy! Of course, the fic will heavily mirror the videos, but i’ll being putting a twist on some of what happened
Some background: Killian and Roger are twin brothers that share an apartment in Los Angeles. The two love going one ghost adventures with their friends Robin and David along with Killian’s girlfriend Emma, sometimes posting their experiences on the internet.
Summary: Jones brothers and Co. end up going on night long trip to the most haunted ship in the world, The Queen Mary, with some side adventures along the way.
Killian grinned wide as he went about his morning routines, making the other house occupant greatly uncomfortable, because that grin meant he was planning something. Roger glanced warily at his brother as he tucked his toddler, Alice into her high chair and started breakfast. “Killian, what are you up to?” “What ever do you mean brother?” Killian asked, giving an innocent look. “We have Liam and Aniyah coming over from Ireland today,” The slightly older Jones reminded, “You better not be trouble.” “Me? Trouble?” Killian mocked offense. “You wound me, brother!” He called dramatically, laughing as his brother smacked him on the chest.
A few hours later, all four Jones siblings were laid about the couch, lazily watching Netflix when a knocking on the door started them out of their sleepy peace. Killian bounced up, striding to the door to let in the whoever was visiting now. Roger was immediately suspicious, not trusting Killian in the slightest. Liam rolled on the couch to glance out from under his arm, while Aniyah poked her head out from the mountain of blankets shed collected from around the house. The two of them were utterly jetlagged, but they were both in that state of tired where everything was stupid funny for no reason.
“Hey Dave, Robin!” Killian greeted, stepping aside to let his friends in. “No Emma?” He frowned, glancing around outside. “No, something came up at work.” David explained, fiddling with a camera. “Alright..” “If it helps, she said she’d try to meet us there.” Roger found this phrasing odd, and questioned it. “Meet us where?” He growled, glaring sharply at Killian. “Oh, are we doing stuff?? I don’t want to put on make up!” The youngest Jones whined, throwing a pillow over her face. “You didn’t tell them?” Robin questioned, taking the camera from David. “No, I wanted it to be a surprise.” Killian winked.
“What’s happening than?” Liam asked, as everyone took there places on the couch, Robin aiming the camera at Killian. “Dave, mind telling everyone what I had you do?” David stood up, everyone turning their attention to him. “So, as a surprise for Aniyah and Liam, coming to join us here in America. Hi!” David grinned, waving at them, Prompting Robin to turn the camera in their direction *“Hey.” Liam greeted awkwardly, while Aniyah gave a shy wave. “And we are recording this... why?” Roger sighed. “You’ll see!” Killian answered cryptically. “Anyway!” David continued cheerily, drawing everyone back to him. “Killian told me you guys liked ghost adventures and sailing, just as much as he did. So I pulled some strings with a friend of mine-” Aniyah gasped excitedly. “We’re going ghost hunting! Hell yeah!” David nodded, smiling at her enthusiasm. “Yep, we’ll be visiting the most haunted ship in the world.” He paused for dramatic effect, “The Queen Mary!” Liam and Roger were silent, eyeing Killian warily, while Aniyah chatted excitedly with the other two about tonight.
“It will be an over night stay, so we’ll have to find a sitter for Alice.” Killian explained. “Don’t worry, Snow wont mind taking her for the night.” David cut in. “Alright, Dave and I will drop her off, while you all get a bag packed for tonight.” Roger called, picking Alice up from her pen, and grabbing the old book bag he’d dedicated as her diaper bag. David held the door, shutting it behind them as they walked down to Roger’s cruiser. “You mad about this?” David asked, starting the car for him while he got Alice situated in her car seat. “I’m a little peeved, but no, I’m not mad.” The conversation ended there, making their trip a quick one to get back to the house.
When everyone was all set, overnight bags packed, Robin had all his equipment set, they started their trip to Long Beach. They all packed into Killian’s SUV, that he kept solely for these kinds of adventures. Robin took shotgun, while Liam and David slid into the middle, pushing Aniyah and Roger into the back, Much to his dismay, as his long legs didn't exactly fit, and when he complained about it, he was ignored by everyone except his sister.
“Can we get snacks?” Aniyah called from the back, moving to the side, to let Roger stretch across the seat. “No-” Killian started, but David interrupted. “Snacks sound awesome, can we get goldfish?” And then everyone was calling out different foods. Killian groaned leaning back into the seat, groaning loudly. “FINE. We’ll hit up a Walmart or something.” He promised, leading to a round of laughter and cheers. He was annoyed, but he couldn’t stop the smile stretching across his face.
David reached forward, pressing a few buttons on the radio, flipping on some pop music. after a few snorts and sighs, everyone was rocking out and having fun being goofy. Robin kept recording, grabbing bits of everyone singing along, all at different intensities. Killian and David getting really into it, Roger and Liam just humming and tapping a long, while Aniyah just giggled, occasionally singing the chorus.
When they came up on Walmart, everyone climbed out and got even more ridiculous from their giddy and giggly moods. Mostly David and Killian were fucking around, grabbing two carts and planning to race into the store. Aniyah wanted in on the fun, climbing into Killian’s cart, Robin handing her another camera, to get every bit of the stupid stunt. “Just don’t get hit by a car!” Liam called, as they pushed off from the start. “We won’t!” The three called back. Roger and Liam sighed, walking with Robin, Still recording the three of them, and how they almost took out three elderly women just trying to get to their car.
Killian won, and David shoved his cart into the return, taking one of the ones meant for children, Roger helped Aniyah out of the cart while Killian and David tried to fit both of their grown asses into the pink car compartment attached to the cart. They were laughing when the finally got both of themselves sat in the seat, but across the cart return a little girl was crying, her mother consoling her. “No, honey, they are alright!” Killian felt awful, as Aniyah knelt down to talk to her. “Don’t worry, my brother and his friend are just being silly, okay?” While they were screwing around out here, Liam and Roger had gone inside. Robin passed the camera off to Aniyah while he wheeled David and Killian, into the store. “Having fun?’ Liam asked raising a brow. “We made a little girl cry!” David answered in a ridiculous tone. Roger just shook his head, chuckling. “Right, lets just get the shit and get out of here.” Liam sighed, a small smile tugging at his lips.
They wandered the store, grabbing things from the shelves and tossing it into the cart, which Killian and David had finally climbed out of. Aniyah was digging around the clearance section for peanut M&M’s, Liam and Roger were taking the time to look at some books while David and Killian were riding the cart down isles, while Robin just did some shopping for himself. They were all just killing some time till night fall, when they had to meet up at the ship with Emma, who had called to confirm she was coming while Killian was screwing around with David in the freezer section. It’s wonder these assholes didn’t get kicked out at all.
Everyone but Aniyah had chipped in to pay, as she was just a teen, and didn’t have a day job like these giant dorks did. Roger and Liam packed the groceries into the car, while David and Killian tried to figure out what they could do to kill some more time before tonight. Aniyah had wormed her way onto the roof of the car from the sunroof, taking silly selfies, even handing Robin her phone to take pictures. David interrupted a few, and soon so did killian. It wasn’t long after that Robin was taking goofy pictures of everyone tossed around the car, and a few other poses. Liam and lifted Aniyah up and tossed her over his shoulder, sending her into a fit of giggles. Killian grinned wickedly at Roger, but before he could bolt, Roger was hiked up over his shoulder like a rag doll. roger just crossed his arms than, letting whatever happened happen as Liam and Killian grinned, and Aniyah continued her giggles.
After the photo shoot, everyone leaned against the car and sat in the parking lot, just taking some time to chat. “So, how is dear old dad?” Killian asked, reaching into the trunk for his Swedish fish. “He’s good, I guess. he’s getting a lot crankier lately.” Aniyah answered. throwing her hands up to catch the bag of candy she'd asked for. “And school?” Roger questioned, taking some fish when Killian wasn’t looking. “Sucks, Girls are such bitches, I end up eating lunch with Liam everyday.” Liam shrugged taking a swig of his soda. “How are you two?” Killian shrugged. “Me and Emma are alright, though, I don’t know how well we’ll be after tonight.” He joked, giving a shy grin. David snorted. “Yeah, I didn’t actually tell her what The Queen Mary has going on, so this should be really interesting.” “I hope something happens, it will really suck if we go there and like, all the ghosts want nothing to do with us.” Aniyah babbled, before stuffing a few M&M’s in her face. “I hope I get dragged across the floor.” She mumbled, earning a concerned look from everyone. “What? I want it to be memorable!” guys shook their heads, climbing into the car. Aniyah mumbled a few more things before climbing in as well, and on their way they were.
W!Hook and SB!Hook are twins, I don’t like Liam II, I tend not to acknowledge him, So i replaced him with a character of my own, and its pretty much just a modern domestic story of the Jones family. Previous Chapter
After their father passes of old age, Aniyah moves out of her cozy home in Ireland to live with her older brothers in the sleepy town of storybrooke.
Hijinks
When we finally got to the Farmers market, Roger had given me some money and let me wander on my own, after he’d made me promise to meet him at a certain spot in an hour or so. I was walking around, poking in at the stalls, waiting for something to really jump at me before I bought it. I turned a corner, finding a little booth selling clothing and accessories.
I inspected a few necklaces and earring sets when I looked up and found a sundress I liked. It was pale blue, with a white ribbon around the waist. “Hi!” a perky voice spoke, as i brushed my fingers down the skirt, causing me to jump. “Oh! did i startle you? I’m sorry!” I turned towards the girl that gave me a worried look. “Oh, no you’re fine.” I smiled back, taking in her appearance. She was taller than me, by a foot or so, her hair was extremely curly, and flaming red, that she seemed to be trying to tame with a black beanie. She had on a dress, similar to the one I had been looking at, but a dark green, with a black ribbon instead of white, and a jean jacket. “Do you like the dress?” She smiled, “I think it would look great on you!” “Oh, you think...?” She nodded eagerly, reaching around to take it off the mannequin. She handed it to me. “There is a curtained off area in the back if you’d like to try it on!” “Thank you.” I smiled, walking to the back like she suggested. I pulled off my sweater and threw the dress over my head, before shimmying off my shorts. I looked in mirror, admiring how I looked. I looked even cuter with my bow and choker than my sweater had.
While I was in the back checking myself out, I heard a few new voices talking to the girl that had insisted I try it on. “Hey, Red, how's your booth goin’ today?” a playful voice asked. “Yes, has anyone shown interest in your clothing, Rebecca?” Another voice with a more serious tone asked. “Yeah, actually someone is trying on that blue one, that matches the ones I made for you guys.” “Oh cool!” “Raven, No!” The other two called, before I knew it, the curtain was ripped away, and girl i’d never seen before was staring at me. I screamed in reaction, even though I wasn’t naked or anything. “Oh! Hey, you're really pretty!” I blushed, glancing round the tent. “Get out?” “Raven, leave her alone!” The first girl called, grabbing her friend by the arm and dragging her out, leaving me standing there, dumbfounded. The curtain fell shut, and i wondered if i should just run now...
Instead, I decided to investigate who these people were. I poked out to find the three of them sitting around the table drinking sodas and sharing a bag of pretzels. As I stepped out, the red headed girl glanced up and smiled at me. “I told you it would be pretty on you!” “Thanks... uhm... how much for it?” I asked, already pulling out my wallet. “You know what, you can have it.” “Eh? Shouldn’t I... repay you?” “You will, come here.” she waved me over, and patted the chair beside her. I sat down, pulling my sweater back on, and shoving my shorts in my backpack.
“I’m Rebecca McKendry also known as Red or Becca, The one who walked in on you is Raven Scarlett or Raves and the third girl is Akiko Akagi, but she prefers we call her Siren.” Rebecca introduced, while she handed me a can of sprite. I looked over Raven. Her complexion was very dark, as was her clothing. She seemed to have a similar taste in clothing as Killian did. She was wearing a blood red dress with black ribbon, a black leather jacket and fishnets. Her hair was full of small braids, some of them had beads, and I wondered if they ever smacked her in the face. Akiko, on the other hand, was extremely pale. She was wearing a pink baby doll dress, with white frills, and some very high pumps. Her hair was long, and silver
“Hi, i’m Aniyah Jones.” “Cute,” Raven said. “So, the accent isn’t American, where you from? Are you another Scott like red?” I shook my head. “No, i’m from Ireland.” “Cool... Why the fuck are you in storybrooke?” “Raven!” Both girls hissed in unison. “What?” I sighed, taking a sip of my drink. “My father passed, so I moved in with my older brother.” I explained. “Wow, that sucks.” Raven said bluntly. Rebecca gave her a harsh glare. “I’m sorry to hear that, I’ll be glad to show you around if you’d like... I know that's what I wanted when I moved here.” She gave me a small smile that I returned. “Thank you, I appreciate that-” As I spoke, there was an awful animalistic sound. all four of us spun to see what happened.
There were two boys our age not too far from us, surrounded by a large group of boys, aging from at least 10 to 20. One boy laid on the ground, blood gushing from his nose, while his aggressor stood above him sneering. I got up, wanting to intervene, but Akiko snatched me by the arm and dragged me down. “Don’t.” She hissed, her eyes flashing, “But they could kill him.” Raven snapped at me to get my attention. “Peter doesn’t fuck around.” “Neither do I,” I growled, yanking away from them and storming into the group.

Roger
Alice tugged me along, a recipe in her hand as she tried her damnedest to track down every fresh ingredient on it. “Papa, what’s the next one?” She asked, reaching up to show me the little card, Aniyah had given her. Though she was trying hard, she hadn’t perfected her literary skills just yet. “That's say cinnamon, my sweet.” I answered. “Cimonin?” She repeated incorrectly. I chuckled, scooping her up. “Sure, starfish.” I reached up, setting her on my shoulders, and taking the card. We hadn’t actually made any purchases just yet, but I was letting Alice hunt down each item on her own, so we could retrieve it later when I had Aniyah’s extra hands. “What is cimonin?” “It’s a spice, You know this little reddish orange specks, Uncle Killian puts on hot chocolate for Emma?” “Yeah?” “That’s cinnamon, people like to use it in their drinks and baked goods.” I explained. “Can you eat it?” “In small amounts, to much can hurt your throat really badly, if anyone tries to offer you a whole spoonful don’t ever take it, alright?” Okay, Papa!” I hoped that would deter any future attempts of that asinine cinnamon challenge.
“Hey Papa, what are they doing?” She asked suddenly, pointing towards something. “Don’t point starfish, its rude.” I scolded gently before following where she was looking. I sighed, watching the large group of boys ganging up one unsuspecting victim. I reached for my radio for the station, I may be off duty, but I still keep it with me. “Emma, are you there?” after a few minutes the walkie screeched to life. “Yeah, what’s up?” “Peter and his lost boys are ganging up on some poor soul at the farmers market.” She sighed. “Dammit, okay. Me and David are on the way.” I glanced around, hoping Aniyah was close by, so we could just leave. “Ani!” Alice called, pointing back towards the boys, and my stomach dropped. “Oh Bloody fucking hell.…” I looked around, trying to formulate a quick plan, when I spotted Granny inspecting some apples.. “Granny!” She jumped, as I came running up. “There is a bit of a problem, could you please take Alice for a few minutes?” I begged. She gave me an annoyed glance, but took her for me. “Thank you!” I called back as I bolted towards whatever mess my little sister got herself into. I was going to ground the bloody hell out of her for this.
I pushed through the crowd of young men until I was almost in the center, unable to get farther, do to the lost boys guarding the rim. Peter and Aniyah were having a silent conversation, while a boy laid in the mud behind Aniyah, bruised and bloodied. My anxiety was building as I watched Aniyah reach into her purse, producing a switchblade. Who the hell gave her that? I heard a grunt beside me, and found Ronnie, stiff as a bloody board, his face white as a sheet. The boys around us suddenly erupted in cheers, as I turned to find Peter holding a fucking sword, pointed at my baby sister. Aniyah narrowed her eyes, an evil smirk on her face, she spends too much damn time with Killian. She flicked her wrist. and the switch blade got longer. A collapsible Sword? Seriously? I wanted to pull out my hair and scream into the bloody sky. I watched in horror as Aniyah pounced and my heart stopped.
Killian is to shy, to make a move on the woman he’s loved from afar, so his sister Aniyah, decides to give him a push in the right direction... And even get’s a date for herself in the end.
I sat in the bay window, quietly reading my book, while I waited for Killian to come home. My cat, Lucy, curled up on my stomach, occasionally meowing at me, demanding affection. Eventually, the routine got boring, and I pushed her off to get a snack. she wove around my feet, clearly unhappy with my decisions. "Oh hush." I pushed her out of the way with my foot, while I made myself a bowl of yogurt and grabbed a granola bar. I took a seat at the island, tugging over my Kindle and picking up where I left off in my book. She climbed up, sitting across from me, watching as I ate. "I swear to god, if you smack my bowl to the floor, I will turn you into a rug." She gave me a challenging look, than used her paw to smack my spoon onto the ground. "You little shit-" I cursed at her, pushing her to the floor before picking my spoon up and rinsing it in the sink.
I finished my snack just as Killian walked through the door, looking exhausted. "Hey, how was work? You book those bad guys?" I smiled at him, cleaning my dishes. He tossed his coat aside, sighing deeply before plopping on the couch. Killian was a police officer, which was cool, until I realized it was a real boyfriend deterrent. "Exhausting as usual... how was school?" "Pretty boring..." I took a seat beside him, nestling into his side. "Right..." He wrapped his arms around me, pulling me closer to him. He kissed my hair before resting his head against mine, he wasn't normally this affectionate... Not that I minded, I appreciated a good hug, after the day I had had. "Are you okay? Something happen at work?" He sighed softly, pulling me closer to him. "I got a case today... a boy came in, searching for his sister..." I nodded, giving him a hug. I knew missing cases didn't always end well... "She reminded me so much of you... and it broke my heart..." I could see a small tear slip down his face. "It's okay, I know you'll find her... How's Emma doing?" I decided to change the subject, and ask about his work partner.
I watched the corners of his mouth curve upwards immediately. "Swan is great... she's wonderful..." I knew Killian had fallen for this woman. "Have you worked up the nerve to ask her out yet?" I teased, and his face flushed red. "Aniyah, that isn't... we are colleague's, I couldn't-" He stumbled over his words embarrassed"Oh, please Killian, you have adored this woman since you first laid eyes on her, at least ask her to dinner!" I whined. He shook his head furiously, pulling away from me and walking into the kitchen. "No... I couldn't..." I pouted, watching him grab a drink. "Fine, than can I invite some friends over and have a pizza and movie night?" He nodded, eager to change the subject. "Go ahead," He set his drink on the counter, undoing the buttons of his shirt, with difficulty, do to lack of a left hand. "I'm going to try and take a shower..." I got up, giving him a hand. "Thank you..." He sighed, he didn't like when I helped him, but he often needed it. I nodded, silently pick pocketing his phone when I pretended to help him undo his gun holster, hanging it on the coat rack for him. He walked back into the bathroom. I worked quick, knowing full well he took fast showers. I flicked through his phone, he never locked it, until I found what I was looking for... Emma's number.
Hey, Swan, you up to anything tonight? I asked, mimicking Killian's typing style. I waited a few moment's, looking over at the bathroom door panicked, but It sounded like he had decided to run a bath, so I had more time. Ding! Not really, why, you got something planned big shot? I grinned. Aniyah is having some friends over, for a pizza night, I was wondering if you would like to join us? ten minutes passed, and I feared Killian would come out, before I could get her to answer. Sure, I could go for some pizza tonight, when do you want me to swing by? I gave her a time, ending the conversation there, before I risked the chance of getting caught. I tossed his phone to the table, clearing all evidence I was there, before curling up on the couch with Lucy, and texting my actual friends if they wanted to come by.
I was a bit sad, only one could make it, but Ronnie was my best friend. Killian sat on the couch, shirtless, with a towel thrown over his head absentmindedly scrubbing his hair dry while playing a game on his phone. The door rang, and I got up to open it. I was a little disheartened when it was just the pizza guy. I paid with the guy with the money Killian had given me, I was about to kick the door shut, when a familiar face poked around. "Hey." Emma smiled. Killian damn near had a heart attack, falling over the back of the couch to hide the fact he was half dressed. "Swan! What are you doing here?" Smooth. "You invited me?" She shut the door behind me, giving him an expectant look. He was confused, until it clicked. He glared at me harshly, before turning to Emma with a smile. "Sorry, Love, it must have slipped my mind, I've had a long day." He glanced down at his awkward posture, realizing he was practically naked. "I'll... go uhm.... yeah." He scurried off to change. I giggled at him, setting the pizza on the island. "Hey Em, how you been?" I asked, giving her a smile. She gave me a skeptical look, before glancing in the direction my brother had fled to. "Was it you I was texting?" I gave an innocent smile. "Why, Emma, I have no idea what you are talking about!~"
Killian walked out, I little more composed than before. I pulled out some plates, when there was a quick heavy knocking on the door, like someone was using both fists to pound on the door. I shook my head, opening the door with a smile. "Hey! Brought the pot brownies-" He walked in, freezing when he saw the two officers in my kitchen. He scrubbed a hand through his black hair. "it's a joke- I swear." Killian rolled his eyes, confiscating the bag of brownies he had behind his back. Ronnie pouted, crashing onto the couch. I laughed, scruffing his hair before handing him some pizza and a soda. He patted the cushion beside him, holding out his arm. "In a second, jeez." He whined at me, while I made a plate. I giggled, taking a seat beside him. His arm snaked around my waist, and he started kissing into my neck. "Stop!" I giggled, pushing his face away. Ronnie grinned, winking at me. I looked over at Emma and Killian, they were sitting at the table, chatting quietly, smiles on there faces. Ronnie quirked up an eyebrow, following my gaze. "You still tryna get them together?" He whispered. I nodded. "Hell yeah I am, aren't they cute?" Ronnie smiled, pressing a kiss to the side of my head. "You're cute." "Stop, you aren't even my boyfriend!" I whined, pushing his face away, but I couldn't help but smile. "I can be, all you gotta do is say this is a date." He smirked, wiggling his eyebrows. I shook my head. "Nope, I like my dates romantic, with a nice dinner." He rolled his eyes, rubbing his fingers through my hair. "Babe, i'm 18, the best I can afford is dinner from the McDonald's that only had drug deals every other week."
I flicked on a movie, cuddling up into Ronnie's side, while I periodically peeked over the couch at Emma and Killian, who were taking the time to inspect if the brownies really did have pot in them, I doubt they did. They were laughing, sharing some drinks and playing cards. I was happy for them ever since Emma and him became partners, which has been almost four years now, i'd been trying to get them together. I listened in to what they were talking about. "So, where is Henry tonight?" Emma shrugged. "He had a sleep over tonight." "How has he been?" "Good, he's hit that phase though, where he thinks he's an adult, when he really isn't." Killian chuckled, looking over at me. "I know someone with that complex as well." I stuck my tongue out at him.
The rest of the night was fairly calm, until I glanced back at Emma and Killian to find them Drunkenly making out. I looked back at Ronnie with a grin. He rolled his eyes,, but smiled back at me. "Now, are you gonna stop trying to get dates for your brother, and get one for yourself?" I sighed. "I'll start dating again, when my boyfriends stop fucking cheating on me." He took my chin in his hands. "Hey, you realize, I ditched my friends to be here with you?" I blushed. "Stop it!" "Call this a date, and i'll stop." He smirked. I shook my head. "Fine. It can be a date, but the next one, better be awesome..." He grinned wide at me. "You know i'd do anything for you.”
