5 years ago today! Ankle and foot are good nowadays.
It's been a cranky sort of day. Despite fully taking a rest day yesterday, my ankle has been painful and stiff, and on top of that I got to experience that middle-aged joy of waking up with my low back feeling tweaky and threatening to spasm (how?? why??? I literally did nothing yesterday!). I had PT today and my therapist reassured me that on the whole she's very pleased with my progress, and of course it'd be odd if I didn't have the occasional rough day, but that doesn't mean I have to like it any better.
On the upside, though, I figured if I was already feeling cranky I might as well do my taxes. Some time later (roughly half of which was spent swearing at TurboTax's deceptive business practices and exorbitant fees), it's done, and it turns out that I socked away enough from my massage contracting gig to give myself a cozy little refund. So that's not the worst.
And then I helped my mother edit her will (hurrah for years of fanfic beta-ing experience), another task I'd been putting off. It helps a bit, feeling like I've accomplished a couple of things.
I'm still grouchy about how long it's taking to get back to pole, but on the upside, my physical therapist wants me to bring a pair of Pleaser boots in to our next session so we can work on gait training in them. I'm taking votes on whether I should strut up and down the office in the blue rhinestones with chromed platforms, or the black patent leather peep-toes with the red ombre platforms and laces...
Only 4 days in this damn walking boot and I'm ready to kill someone.
this is suuuper random, but im having ankle ligament replacement surgery next week and was wondering if anyone here has had it and can give me some advice? in wondering how long until it will be before im weight bearing after the surgery. i have to have both ankles done - right then two months later the left.
In 9 hours, I find out whether or not I need another ankle surgery this year. 😞 Judging by my pain level, I think I already know the answer. But, I can always hope for a non-surgical approach. I could use a little luck. 💕
GD gets surgery at his ankle and it makes mea mad and so should you be, because it means YG forced him to promote with a painful inhealed ankle that only happened to begin with because yg apparently doesn't likesto hire competence. So many second and first generation idols are in pain because of their companies not lettinh them healt properly.
Similar confession:
The fact that Jiyong will get surgery in Korea scares the lshit out of me. There are enough examples of how awfully backward their healthcare is, I just want him to be save and painfree as soon as possibles - so it might be silly to you, but please let’s pray for a speedy recovery and successful/complication free treatment. - be save Jiyong and get better soon
Surgery number 3 in the books 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Going home!
