Patchy signal had made it difficult to get news of people during the earthquake. Simon wasn't exactly super into asking news of people in general but during things like this, it was obviously different. He'd been very minorly touched by the earthquake himself, apart from the usual disturbance to daily life that appear in those kinds of things. He'd tried to help a bit but it wasn't exactly his best skill. Some texts helped settle some worries down but he wanted to see his daughter with his own eyes. It felt odd, by the way, to be so worried about another human being. He wasn't sure he liked it.
He knocked at Anli's door, after he'd warned her of his arrival. He was checking his phone when the door opened. "Hey, hm, glad you're okay."
