Sensing a strong presence, Ramuh opens one of his eyes and looks up from his spot on a fallen log. Looking around, he looks for the aura and spots its owner before sighing. 

So, he was being followed after all, and he thought, no...maybe the others, but not this person. He sighs. And he was trying so hard to understand why the humans were going all over in the stalls and stores, all seeming, or most of them seeming, to be buying almost the exactly the same thing? For what reason, he will have to understand later.

“I guess anyone who can track down a Astral that is not the Oracle, it would be you...Ardyn...” Will he also, try to destroy him as he did his sister?

In general, she would prefer to stay away from people like the Chancellor, someone who had a lot of influence and power - it was better to fly under the radar, so to speak. But she did have something she wanted to ask him. A somewhat dangerous question, she realized as the man stopped just ahead of her in the hall, slowly turning to face her with a squeak of one soft-soled shoe. 

“Uh...” She hesitated. “Celene Haugen.” Though perhaps she’d be happier if he didn’t know her name. “I um, wanted to ask you some some questions about some reports I’ve read recently.”

"you're the prettiest thing i've ever seen."

"You flatter me." But his smile was wide and warm in ways so few were privileged enough to witness as the faintest hint of pink color spread across his cheeks.

"...And I feel that if you're going to say such things, you may want to look in a mirror, that your words be reflected back on yourself."

A brief tint of pink spread across his face, easily visible against the pale color, and Ravus quickly averted his gaze to anywhere but the Chancellor out of embarrassment that he should so easily be brought to blush from mere words that were likely enough said to a great many people before.

Ardyn was, after all, a charmer. The Commander doubted himself to be anyone of particular interest then.

"Th..Thank you," he stammered out, wishing his voice hadn't held that little tremor of surprise and confusion. Perhaps it was the tea. Yes, he would blame it on the tea and the warmth of the room and the howling wind outside and the cat in his lap and--

Flimsy excuses, all of them.

"Perhaps I shall do my best to smile more often, if presented with reason enough to do so..." Reasons to smile were, for him, rare. His life was not a good life.

The hand was quick to stroke over the cat's back, soothing her back into comfort whens he startled at the sudden crackling of the renewed fire, and though he hadn't been cold, Ravus still found himself grateful for the extra warmth given.

"Yes, thank you--You have a greenhouse?" he could not stop his curiosity from asking, for a greenhouse meant plants, surely? A garden of sorts? And he found himself long to see greenery once again; it had been so long and the greenery of Niflheim was always so artificial, so fake, so manufactured.

He missed real greenery.

The General stares as he does this and slowly turns to face the man as he walks away like some pompous twat. "..." You are so lucky the boss like you...

AGGRESSION / / SEXUAL TENSION [ACCEPTING]

The last fool who had attempted such a maneuver during sparring had been soundly disciplined, though Ravus had not been expecting a physical retaliation from the Chancellor- of all people.

The sudden aggression momentarily took him off-guard, as Ardyn more often used his deceitful words to wound and needle at, or stepped back from confrontation with a mocking quip and a smile.

Baring his teeth, he struggled against the grip upon both of his wrists, only to hear the armored prosthesis that made up his afflicted arm whine and creak beneath pressure and raw strength that was truly inhuman.

"What trickery is this?!" he demanded, outraged to be bested by what he had assumed was little more than a foppish, indirect schemer.

Saying nothing, the Chancellor opted to follow behind the High Commander, everywhere he ventured within the Keep. He had no true intentions, merely mimicking the man's path, about six paces a distance.

Perhaps it was simply to torment and pester Ravus, or possibly due to nothing greater than utter boredom. Either way, it was something to entertain himself with. It would be interesting to see just how long it took to get on the Tenebraean's last nerve. For added effect, he even began humming to him.

He had to be doing this on purpose.

With his obnoxiously cheerful shadow lurking some ways behind him, Ravus couldn't check on the latest shipment of gear he'd promised- all of them bound for Tenebrae, where he and Bastien's resistance camp was growing larger by the day. More and more common folk wanted to take up arms to push the imperials from their sacred land, not merely the chasseurs and former chevaliers who had survived the initial attack by Glauca and his troops.

When the humming began, Ravus pivoted on his heel, the feathered length of his greatcoat flaring out dramatically as he turned in place.

"Is there something I can assist you with, Chancellor?"

His voice hadn't raised in volume but indeed was pointed, as Fleuret managed to keep himself somewhat composed... even if his hands were balled into fists and his brow slightly wrinkled from narrowing his eyes.

He swore one of these days, his leftmost eye might develop a twitch of some sort in response to stress.
