Anna Laurent is a Los Angeles-based designer and writer, currently working on a series of educational plant-oriented media to advance botanic literacy. She studied evolutionary theory at Harvard University and graphic design at Massachusetts College of Art.

Each image is accompanied by a beautifully written essay. She introduces the seed pod project at her online portfolio: 

Botany Blueprint is a study of seed pods—a plant’s fruits & seeds. Individually, each photograph is a fine art portrait of a unique botanic specimen; as a series, the collection becomes a visual and scientific inquiry into the diversity of botanic design.
