Anna Sui 1993-94 F/W Lace & Velvet Bishop Sleeve Evening Dress
This collection was heavily inspired by Anna Sui's flea market finds. She tinted the laces, and laundered & redyed the velvets herself to give them an antique feel. This particular dress evokes the 1930s, with long bishop sleeves and a basque waist. We’ve always appreciated Anna Sui for her love of vintage, and it’s a beautiful thought that a piece that pays tribute to fashion history has now joined its ranks!
