lockjaws* double-page spread, gif, and The Madness of the Crowds, banners by Matilda Moors shown at the Trinity Centre, Bristol, 2015
lockjaws* functions like a biennial show; the first issue of lockjaws* draws together over 50 artists from around the UK and a number from abroad, and teams them with one of 8 curators. lockjaws* is an Artist led publication currently supported by Spike Island, Situations, and Modern Art Oxford. The first issue was officially launched as part of Bristol Art weekender with a major show.
I was invited by the lockjaws* team to curate a double-page spread in issue #1. On submitting my curatorial research interests, I was given six artists to work with, including Anna Tea, Liam Rogers, Joseph O’Neil, Djojo & Versteeg, Isaac Stacey, and Matilda Moors. I selected to exhibit Matilda’s The Madness of the Crowds in the launch exhibition in Bristol.
