@caromitpunkt tagged me to list my current top 5 songs a couple of days ago 🎧 Here they are 💛
1. Pink Floyd – High Hopes
It’s so so so so good but I had almost forgotten it existed until Brendon Urie made headlines (PatD obviously have a song with the same name).
2. Albrecht Schrader – Donnerstags 8 bis 9
The song for all of us who did therapy, do therapy, need therapy. So: All of us, period. He’s from Hamburg and the album’s just out.
3. Sublime Reggae Kings – I wanna know what love is
I mean: It is a peak gay awakening song since “Fucking Amål”. And then you listen to it in a bar in Vienna in an inspired reggae cover version and wonder what happened to the two protagonists of the movie and your gf casually tells you their lives’ stories because “I’ve googled it randomly recently.” And that: Also peak gay.
4. Reinhard Mey – Keine ruhige Minute
1. Anticipation. 2. RM is fabulous and I haven’t seen him live yet (because I was stupidly busy and “there’s always time”) and I really hope there really still is time. My dad loves him and shared this love with me and I’m grateful for that.
5. Anna Ternheim – Higher
I love music but writing and other art usually touches me more easily and deeper. Still, I had some not so unimportant kind of awakening experiences at concerts and two happened at AT’s. So I’m always delighted when she releases something new. And a bit afraid.
