My hand was cramping due to all the thank you cards I wrote for the recipient of this embroidered piece. So I made it permanent. I couldn’t be more grateful for the people in my life.

Seeking simple these days. I’m drawing inspiration from Gee’s Bend quilt architecture and sun worn muted palettes.
🎯 Here’s to hitting some targets in 2017.
Sneak peek of my #twkautumn2016 submission. This month’s theme is contrast. All of the shag is leftovers I couldn’t bear to throw away from projects over the years. I added some tulle, plastic, and leather to round out the assemblage. The body is jute I purchased from a home store. The bits or roving were gifted from my sweet mama who happened upon a giant bag of the stuff at an estate sale. New, old, lost, found, meaningful, not, soft, hard, obvious, and subtle. Contrast is hard to miss in this beast.
An older piece is getting some rainbow love today. 🌈❤️
This custom piece might just be the end of me.
This is Idaho.
🦄💓🌈 #wip for a very special client.
