Contact us with inquiries on the artwork. 😉 . . . Born in England, Anna Murphy is a Chicago based artist, with a professional studio in the Pilsen neighborhood. She balances her time between indoor studio and gallery work as well as outdoor public murals. In her studio work she specializes in realistic figurative and portraiture painting, in oil. Her paintings have deep roots in spirituality and the investigation into the power and divinity of the female energy. Through the use of lace and fabric she tells a story of a divine interior essence within a physical and material world. Illuminating the interconnectedness of everything and playing with a duality of light and dark, interior and exterior, material and immaterial, and spiritual and human. In addition to her gallery work she is also a muralist, exhibiting her work in public spaces across the city. Her murals celebrate nature’s serene beauty and our oneness with Mother Earth and the animal kingdom, connected by a all encompassing divine love.
