Just when Julie finally gets an interview for a job that will let her raise her children better, she runs into a national transit strike.

Plays in part like a tense thriller. Remarkable. I'm not sure how a person can deal with that much stress.

I would like to know how much money Julie makes as a head maid.

I wouldn't necessarily say that the ending counts as a "happy" one.

After The Origin of Evil, the second notable recent movie starring Laure Calamy.

LA TÊTE HAUTE, réalisé par Emmanuelle Bercot

Déjà réalisatrice de plusieurs longs-métrages dont BACKSTAGE en 2004 et plus récemment ELLE S'EN VA en 2013, Emmanuelle Bercot fait l'Ouverture du Festival de Cannes 2015 avec sa nouvelle réalisation LA TÊTE HAUTE. S'entourant d'un casting d'exception avec Catherine Deneuve, Benoît Magimel, Sara Forestier et le jeune Rod Paradot dont c'est ici le tout premier rôle, Emmanuelle Bercot retrace le parcours chaotique d'un garçon prénommé Malony entre l'âge de six ans et de dix-huit ans. Malony croise sur son chemin une juge pour enfants et un éducateur spécialisé, qui tentent inlassablement de sortir l'adolescent de la spirale infernale dans laquelle il s'enferme, entre violence, délinquance, et échecs à répétition. Ni misérabiliste ni enclin aux bons sentiments, LA TÊTE HAUTE ne fait pas dans la dentelle, et s'essaie à livrer froidement et frontalement une réalité sociale violente et effarante. Un film choc ?!
