Yay - I fixed the melodies of my song!
Nay - I messed up the repeating part of it, so the cello is playing a little late. Also, I put the most interesting part of it on three different layers, and this isn't art wherein I can just merge all the layers onto one sheet with a few button clicks.
The healing process sometimes involves you writing a bilingual fic set in your own city/country.
You know you're ready to upgrade your style as an artist when you look at your recent works and you go, "I no longer like this."
Being an artist who has a new art piece for sharing but cannot share because said piece is for a gift exchange (specifically for a friend who is also on the same internet social spaces as the artist) and it is not gift reveal time yet...
Sad.
I think I like conlang better when the writer actually leans into it being a conlang - such as Ar Tonelico's Hymmnos being essentially a programming language, Nier's Chaos language representing how the peoples of the future eventually stopped understanding each other, Yuki Kajiura's Kajiurago focusing on capturing the idea of an emotion rather than more concrete ideas, and Made in Abyss' Abyss speak playing right into the otherwordliness of its setting.
Of the conlang songs I've heard, I still think Kokia's EXEC_COSMOFLIPS/. is the best.
Apparently, 2023 was such a tumultuous year for me that I blanked out on what had occurred to me in its first half.
