Alvin wasn’t surprised when he turned out to be rather disliked by the Mathis family. Frankly, he was not popular with the generation before his. It may have been more accurate to say that he wasn’t especially popular with any generation, but the older generation was exceptionally unwelcoming of him.

I have to do a Batman parody for one of my uni courses and while other people are doing Batman in an old-people's home or magical girl!Batman, I'm doing something that is making me want to cry it is so full of feels.
