I first read this writer back in like junior high I think? I really loved this first book I read of hers (blood and chocolate) which I’ll do a review of later cuz I love. So obviously I had to read more of her work and thus found “The silver kiss.” And honestly I found it very refreshing. Because yes is a vampire story where he meets a young sad girl but it doesn’t go the typical route that a lot of books of this genre do. This book is really more about them sharing similar types of grief and in a weird way helping each other work though it. FYI this book definitely has sad mom feels so if that is not your jam then maybe this book isn’t for you. There is a little bit of romantic type feelings but it’s less all encompassing love/list and more them helping each other by being there when it feels like no one else is. And helping each other see things in a different way. Honestly I feel it’s a very underrated book and it’s a pretty quick read only 198 pages. It’s definitely worth the read. 10/10 #thesilverkiss #annettecurtisklause #vampire #supernatural #grief #book #bookreview https://www.instagram.com/p/B4sqVRXh6NE/?igshid=q5t1irlgm73r
