Heaven Go Easy On Me| Harper and Annie
As the sun started to go down, Harper finally made her way down to the festival that had the whole town in a buzz. Personally, she wasn’t so sure about this whole event. Festivals were supposed to be well festive, but now a days she wasn’t always in the festive mood. However there was always something about the bright lights, the music, and the food that stirred up any sad soul into a smile. That was just how it worked, for her anyway. For now this festival was a chance for her to get away from all her troubling thoughts and pretend to live in a time where everything was simple. When having pure fun wasn’t such a taboo thing in her world.
The base of her finger pressed the button that locked her car, and the quick beeps followed shortly after. She stood at the base of the entrance and took in the air of it all. There was always the festival smell that never changed throughout the years, and thus it triggered a few happy memories from years past. The lights danced in the reflection of her eyes as she made her way towards the cotton candy booth. Grabbing some bills out of her purse and handing them over to the man, she watched as the cotton candy appeared slowly on the stick. She smiled as the man handed it to her and walked away with delight.
“Now what?” her eyes looked around with a stumped look. She walked around aimlessly for a while before she gazed upon the palm reader sign. With her interest piqued she walked over to the tent with a bit of excitement. As she arrived she was a familiar face and a friendly smile appeared on her face. “Hey Annie!” Harper waved as she stepped closer. Her eyes looked up to the sign, “Do you believe in this kind of stuff?” she asked not breaking eye contact with the sign. “I mean no one can really know what is coming in the future.”
