Just out of curiosity, have you ever seen any one of the Elders drink from the wine? I did, once. Probably a decade ago. That means he thought himself "an annointed one" right? It's been a while
I have actually! It was one of the last times I went to a memorial. I was amazed at the time, but now I know he was just even more delusional than most JWs….
I feel like there’s a strange sort of celebrity status with “annointed ones”, whispering about them and asking someone if they ever met one and etc. And then there’s the whole topic of there only being 144,000 of them since Jesus’ day. It’s definitely an interesting shared delusion.
