The Book of Three by Lloyd Alexander
I've always loved Lloyd Alexander books as a kid so it's a small wonder how I never read this series back then.... As an adult, it's even easier to appreciate his writing and enjoy the mastery he shows in story telling.
Reading a book for the first time, and annotating that book as I do, was an interesting and fun adventure. But it also took forever lol - it's much more difficult to find the time and space to read when you need space for the highlighters, pens, and notation flags. And pausing to highlight, underline, and make notes just slows everything down. But it was fun too see his notes and for me to add my notes around his. I still need to give the book back to my friend, hoping to do that within the next week or two.
As for the book itself, it was a fun adventure novel even with the Assistant Pig Keeper being a very exasperating teenage boy. I'm curious to see where the rest of the series goes considering this is a five book series (iirc) and so far, everything that was introduced in book one was resolved in book one.

I cannot even explain to you guys how excited I am to be done with basically all of my classes. I still have to show up but now that AP testing is over I’m basically free to watch movies, read, and do whatever I want for the last month of school. With that in mind, I’m hoping (praying) that I’ll be able to catch up on blog posts and get way way way more content on the way for you all.

I have never wanted to shake a fictional character so badly.
Who kills unicorns, seriously?!
Did he just bite off her clit?
In most circumstances, I would be horrified. In this instance, I'm yelling "ATTA BOY!"
(More people should seriously read these books. Just sayin')
