Hello players! As I’m sure we’re all aware, recently there’s been a slump in activity, with several of our roles leaving us and others going inactive. While in the past we’ve come back strong from similar circumstances (re: this summer, when I was on vacation), things have been busy for all of us lately, and it’s been more difficult than usual to keep the dash moving, particularly with one admin on hiatus and many of us in school. 

I’ve been considering several routes for TAT’s future in the past week, but before proceeding with any one thing, I wanted to gauge a few things, namely number of players willing to remain, and possible interest. With that said, please LIKE this post if you are a player who wishes to remain active in the roleplay in the long-term, or someone who plans to apply for a role in the near future. This will be great help to me as I decide on what to do next with the roleplay, so thank you all in advance.

Hello everyone! This is Risa, checking in one last time before I leave for vacation in a few hours. From June 9th to July 11th, I’ll be in China, which blocks all social media, including Tumblr. In my absence, Taryn will be solely in charge of maintaining the main, conducting all acceptances, guiding the heist, and regulating all other part of Thick as Thieves -- it’s not an easy job by any means, so please support and love her especially much in this upcoming month!

I’ve outlined the rest of the heist to be carried out while I’m away, but even so, I’m asking everyone to participate as much as possible to bring the dash back to a healthy and rambunctious life. I hope to return to a thriving community, and while Taryn will certainly be doing her best, she’s only one person working around real life commitments and work, so long-term success is truly up to you, our players. This month is particularly crucial since it establishes a sort of precedence in heist-roleplaying, and cements both IC and OOC dynamics, as well as being a sort of trial period for us all. I’m terribly sad to have to leave at this time, but I know that you’ll all contribute to TAT’s longevity and spirit! If all is planned well, then I should be back for the final portion of this first heist to wrap all the loose ends up and bring the final mystery to light. If not, then I’m beyond excited for you all to see what’s behind the scenes of this great grand murder-thief story.

Though I’ll be away in body, please know that I’ll be here in soul, sending lots of good wishes from the other side of the world. In the meantime, have fun roleplaying, make friends, and have a wonderful next few weeks! I’ll see you all soon!

Hi everyone! It’s been a very long day so I’m heading to bed now, but a few notes about roleplaying before I go: 

All teams have been more-or-less approved, so please post starters and begin interactions as soon as possible! Remember, this portion of the heist should be wrapped up by 6/8 in order for teams to receive their monetary reward for their completed threads. 

If Chatzy is a better venue for your team to roleplay out their assignment, feel free to go with that route! A team member will simply need to note down the transcript and submit it to the main and/or publish it on their blogs once the assignment has been completed. 

Since these team threads will be covering several days and/or major happenings, in the interest of time and priority, threads can jump from one day to another, or one discovery to another. Jumps in time and/or location, if made, should be clearly noted, and a summary of non-roleplayed action can be provided as a bridge between different scenarios.  

For starters, players can link to a private post with any “Background Information” or such, and have the starter begin at the point right after all the action in the Background post has occurred. An example of this can be found here.

Hello everyone! I’ve just answered all the immediate messages that I could, and the BANK has been newly updated -- with Villiers & Rozanov heating up the competition.

I won’t be online until Saturday afternoon since senior prom is tomorrow night, so this is just a quick shoutout for everyone working on their apps (especially for my families, wink). I believe in you, and wish you all the luck and muse in your writing! Hopefully by the time I’m next online, quite a few apps will have come in. But for those still deciding on a role or yet to start their apps, don’t fret, there’s still time ~ the big day is fast approaching, but we’re beyond excited, and hope you all are too!

There are a few more messages in the askbox that are yet to be answered, so I’ll be getting to those tomorrow. The Beauregard Bank page will also be released tomorrow with an announcement regarding its fun purpose, and I believe that Anika should be posted by Tuesday, so all in all, a few things to look forward to.
