He had missed your face so much, he missed kissing your nose, staring at your beautiful eyes that meant the world to him. He closed the door behind him and pushed his suitcase beside the sofa. The curtains were shut and it was as if the place had been abandoned. “_-____? Are you not home?”He was disappointed. He had already told you he would be coming home today. Maybe you’d forgotten?A sudden retching noise startled him, yanking him out of his thoughts. The toilet flushed and on hearing that, he rushed to the bedroom. “_____!” he cried in delight as he saw your body weakly limp out the bathroom. A frown filled his face. Your name came out his mouth worriedly. Noticing his presence, you whipped round, and a huge smile lit your face. The love of your life was finally back. You ran to him, wrapping your arms around him. “I missed you!” you gushed. “Yeah, me too…”You looked up to see his worried face. “What’s…wrong?”He tilted your chin up with a finger. “Are you sick? I heard you in the bathroom…”“I-urm….you see….”“Do I need to take you to hospital?”“No! I’ve already been and you see-““Is it serious? Are you hurt? Where??”“No, but I guess it IS serious and-““How serious? Is it life threatening??”“Yixing!” you yelled. “Listen!”He blinked and nodded. “I’m pregnant!”His lips parted, and as if he didn’t process anything you had just said, you repeated it. “I’m pregnant.”He doesn’t want to be the dad, does he? Tears were beginning to fill your eyes but a cry of happiness scared you. “I’m going to be a daddy????”You nodded. “That’s AMAZING! We’re going to start a family! Is it a girl? Boy? Should we go buy clothes? A bed? Toys?? Now!”A wave of relief flowed through you and you giggled as he enthusiastically pulled you into a hug. “I’m so happy! No, ecstatic even!”“I’m two months through, I wanted to keep it a surprise,”“The best surprise ever!”

And the rest of the day was him pampering you, although he was the one who needed pampering from all the dancing and hard work. “I’m fine! You need to stay healthy! For the baby!”Smiling, you snuggled into his embrace for warmth. You were happy. He was happy. Nothing could go wrong, because you had each other.

Saw something where someone was saying Zero and Yuuki weren't in a relationship before Yori's death, that they were just drinking each others' blood, so Zero did not help raise the daughter. I know how stupid this sounds, given Zero and Yuuki's feelings on blood sharing and their feelings for each other. But I thought it would be fun to watch you obliterate this claim with positivity. :)

Haha, oh, Anon. You make me laugh. But I’m sorry, I wouldn’t call this post ‘positivity’ so much as completely sarcastic, because I’m afraid that’s all this argument brings out of me. Yes, I have heard some Yumes say this and my god, I still laugh every time.

But alright, here I go.

Firstly, I’m not even going to argue with the whole ‘Yuuki and Zero weren’t together before Yori died’ part because it’s clear that they did not even read the chapter, or chose to read it with their Yume tinted glasses which I am still trying to get a hold of by the way .

Last time I heard,Yori didn’t say, ‘man seal the deal Zero, and get into a freaking relationship with her already’. She said, ‘man, grow a pair of balls, both of you, and send me a freaking wedding invitation before I freaking die’.

Now, let me just point out one reason why that suggests that their relationship was more than friends. Firstly, people don’t just go and get involved together one day, and then literally go and get married the next. I mean how many people do that? Really? The idea is just ridiculous. They were obviously in a serious relationship that hadn’t been finalised, because the two of them were on their own respective paths, which reinforces the reason why Yori was like, ‘guys seriously you make my head hurt. Just get married ready’

And so, all I have left on this matter is a little something a little birdie called Hino came up with that stipulates the ENDGAME COUPLE would follow a little theme known as ‘if you want to hurry, go slow.’ And man, if that ain’t taking your freaking time, I don’t even know what is.

Now, looking at it from a biased Yume perspective, let’s just assume, for arguments sake, that they ‘weren’t’ together not that that makes your sunken ship any less of a failure let me just go through why Zero would have been the central father figure in that little girls life.

I mean seriously, people? Yuuki and Zero’s relationship would not have been one of simple blood donors. It’s not as if Yuuki would have just been like, ‘aw, you know what, I’m feeling pretty damn thirsty, better call my BFF to come and give me some blood loving, so I can go and get back to my separate life. YOLO.

Hino has clearly stipulated numerous times that Zero and a Yuuki were practically inseparable. In fact, every time Yuuki was shown without him, she was damn right miserable. Observing them at the funeral, it’s obvious that they had continued how they were in the first arc. Therefore, Zero wouldn’t have just been some blood bag Yuuki bit into every once in awhile,he would have been the sun her world revolved around, reminding her of the light she needed in her darkest moments. Therefore the belief that Zero would have had hardly any impact on the daughter is absolutely hilarious. Like I can’t even. It’s just that funny.

Those two were completely inseparable. They would have been together, constantly. Therefore every time Yuuki needed help with her child, Zero would be there. Every time Yuuki would find it all too much, Zero would be there. Now tell me who seems to be more like the supportive father here? Yuuki was so happy to see Zero, because she was happy at the prospect of a new life. She was happy to start a new life with Zero.

So, regardless of the ‘relationship status’ between the two, Zero would have been, hands down, the most prominent father figure that little girl would have know. He would have been the one to teach her how to ride her bike, or how to do math, because if she was anything like her mother she would have been completely hopeless at math.

So yes, let them think that our Zero wasn’t the real father in her life, because honestly he was much more loving and caring, and had much more of an influence on her life than the man who abandoned her and her mother because he couldn’t keep his shit together, and as a result became an icicle.

So, let’s break it down.

Zero an Icicle.

ZERO or an icicle.

Zero > Icicle.

It’s pretty obvious who that child’s real ‘daddy’ figure was.
