Chapter 1 [x] Chapter 2 [x]
Kise went by [F/N]'s apartment building in the morning to pick her up, which surprised her. Kise only ever walked her home with Kasamatsu. She definitely found it odd but did her best to ignore it since she thought there was nothing to it. Kise talked about the match with Seirin on the way to school, [F/N] nodded and listened to his excitement. It was something new; with Kise in her life, he brought the sun to her usual dreary day. Of course she would never admit to it. She actually didn't know what she was feeling, actually mistaking the feeling as annoyance. Kise continued to talk about the match throughout the morning, his face lit up in happiness. Eventually, it got annoying for [F/N] but gave Kise a smile since she really didn't want to ruin the look on his face. Though she did tell him to shut up a few times. Of course Kise never did. She was super happy when Kasamatsu asked her to join him for lunch, since he felt he hasn't had any one on one time with her for awhile now, with Kise always being with her. The bell rang signaling it was lunch break. [F/N] waited a few minutes for Kasamatsu to show up before she left. Girls, once again, surrounded Kise's desk, asking if the blonde haired male wold join them for lunch. Again, he hesiated at first, actually wanting to having lunch with [F/N]. Right before he was about to ask her, Kasamatsu slid the door open, calling out to [F/N].
"Oi..[N/N]. Let's go." Kasamatsu said
[F/N] looked up towards the door and nodded her head. She pushed her chair out and stood up, glancing at Kise, who was obviously staring at her. She gave him a smile,
"See you after break, Kise." [F/N] said, bowing her head. She pushed her chair in and quickly walked out of the classroom, towing behind Kasamatsu. Kise noticed the radiant smile she had on her face as she left the class. He knew that Kasamatsu and [F/N] were childhood friends. Still, it hurt him to see her with that look of happiness, especially when it was only with him. He released a deep sigh and did his best to not show his pain. He turned back and looked at his fangirls. He smiled cheerfully at them and agreed to have lunch with them.

[F/N] and Kasamatsu walked side by side in the hall which lead them out to the courtyard. They ended up sitting down at the same spot where Kasamatsu had found her on the first day of school, eating her lunch. Kasamatsu looked over at [F/N].
"What's wrong? You looked stressed." Kasamatsu asked, eyebrows furrowed in concern.
"Huh? Oh no, it's just Kise has been annoying the crap outta me about today's practice match." [F/N] said, rubbing her temple.
"Yeah, he's been super excited about it lately. He kept talking about his old teammate." Kasamatsu said, taking a bite of his sandwhich.
"Oh? You mean Tetsuya." she replied, taking a bite of her lunch. She frowned when she saw him slowly eating, "Come on, Yukio-nii you need to eat more than just a sandwhich." [F/N] said
"I do eat more than this! I just forgot my bento that's all." He blinked when she mentioned Kuroko's name. "Oh? You know this kid then?" Kasamatsu said
"You're full of shit, Yukio-nii." she barked, placing her sandwich down.
"Tetsuya? Yeah, I met him through a close friend back in elementary." [F/N] said.
"What's with that damn mouth of yours? Watch how you talk to me brat!" He paused, looking her in the eyes. "He's the phantom 6th man of the Kiseki no Sedai." Kasamatsu said, gathering his garbage.
"Kiseki no Sedai?" [F/N] asked, head tilted in confusion but her voice sounded intrigued.
"Oh right. I forgot you have always been busy with music, so you wouldn't know about them since you never took interest in anything else. You can say they are you but in the basketball world." Kasamatsu said.
"Eh? They're like me?" [F/N] asked, pointing to herself.
" They are a group of five prodigies in our generation, who excel in basketball. They're known as the Kiseki no Sedai." Kasamatsu stated.
"Huh.. So all five were that talented?" [F/N] asked
He nodded, " They all went to Teiko Junior High." Kasamatsu said. [F/N]'s [e/c] eyes widen as the name rolled out of his mouth.
"Kise's old teammates?" She questioned, surprised at this information. Scratching the back of her head, she looked at her food, "Huh.. I guess Kise wouldn't make it up as a starter since it was those five." [F/N] said
"What? Kise is one of the Kiseki no Sedai." Kasamatsu said.
"Ahh.~ So hee was one of the Kiseki no Sedai..." [F/N] said, taking a sip of her juice. When his words ran through her head, she paused. "SAY WHAT?!?!" she yelled out, spitting out her juice.
Kasamatsu started laughing at her reaction, a bit annoyed at the juice on his lap. He helped her clean the mess. He tried to wipe the side of her face but [F/N] pushed his hand away, embarrassed at his actions. Kasamatsu only laughed at her childish behavior. .... Tia and her friends had been walking by and noticed Kasamatsu and [F/N]. Tia's face turned red from hearing Kasamatsu's deep laugh, losing herself in the sound as it echoed through her mind. The sound of a tongue clicking snapped her from daydream, causing her to look at her friend with a confused expression.
"Tch! How dare that first year." She mumbled.
Tia blinked, "Huh? What are you talking about Ayano-chan?" Tia asked, patting her friend's shoulder.
"She thinks just because she's cute, she can be all over him. These first years need to be taught a lesson." She continued, anger laced in her voice.
"Ayano-chan, thats just [N/N]. They are childhood friends." Tia explained. "Bullshit! Tia, get your head out of your ass! She's probably lying, to get you to lower your guard. When you least expect it, she'll rip your heart out by taking Kasamatsu-kun away from you." Ayano said, hands clenching in anger. She shook her head, "You're wrong Ayano. [N/N]-chan isn't like that and I know for a fact that they are just childhood friends." Tia said. "Besides, it's not like we're dating. Kasamatsu-kun can do what he wants."
Ayano saw the hidden look of sadness in her friend's eyes, feeling rather irritated with how she's trying to hide it. "Ugh. You're so naive Tia. With that way of thinking, Kasamatsu-kun will never be yours." Ayano said, which struck a nerve.
Tia found herself stopping, looking over at Kasamatsu and [F/N] once more. The only emotion she felt at that moment was envy. She was envious of the relationship that [F/N] had with Kasamatsu.
She'd known the captain since they first entered high school. She tried to approach him several times, but he'd usually stutter and shy away. She found it so endearing to see a boy like that, and her feelings started to grow. She felt so happy when he was announce captain, always attending their basketball games to cheer him on.
Tia wanted a smiliar relationship with him that [F/N] had. If they couldn't be lovers, she would gladly have him as a best friend. It was better than not having him in her life at all.
As she watched everything unfolding in front of her, Tia could feel her heart slowly begin to break. Running to catch up with her friends, she turned away, feeling rather down from the earlier conversation. It didn't matter how hard she tried, she would have to accept it would never happen and he would always be just out of her reach. .. Lunch was over and Kasamatsu walked [F/N] back to class. "I'll see you at the practice match." Kasamatsu said.
"Gotcha! Remember to do your best! Tia-senpai will be there." [F/N] said giving Kasamatsu a thumbs up and a small wink. By just hearing her name, his face lit up like a stop signal, which caused [F/N] to giggle at his reaction. On the few occasions, Kasamatsu would end up smacking her. Other times, he was too flustrated to do anything, just like now. He quickly walked away before [F/N] could tease him more about his red cheeks. Shaking her head, [F/N] smile widely.
"Mission Accomplished." She said.
"What mission?" a voice echoed behind her, making her jump up. She turned around to see Kise standing behind her with two of his fangirls, the ones she knew from class.
"None of your business Kise." [F/N] said, crossing her arms over her chest. " Has anyone ever told you not to easedrop when someone is speaking out loud to themselves?" [F/N] asked
Kise just started laughing in response, causing her to frown "[L/N]-cchi that just sounded weird." Kise said after calming down from his laughter.
"Whatever!" [F/N] huffed, walking into class towards her seat.
After calming down, Kise sighed, a smile on his face, as he followed suit. During their afternoon classes, Kise had been stealing glances at [F/N] as she sat next to him, concentrating on the lessons. [F/N] had caught him staring at her a few times, which caused the blonde to quickly look away when their eyes met. She raised one of her eyebrows, noticing more of Kise's weird actions lately. She released a sigh and just went back to her studies.

School ended for the day, students bustling around in excitement. [F/N] packed her belongings but before she could close her bag shut or even stand from her chair, Kise had tugged on her arms, pulling her out the door. [F/N], shocked with Kise's actions, grabbed on to his wrist, stopping the two before they stepped out the back door towards the gym.
"Why are we stopping [L/N]-cchi?" Kise said
"What the hell was that?" [F/N] said, a frown on her face.
"Ah? Haha I was excited. Sorry." Kise said, looking down a bit.
[F/N] pinched the bridge of her nose, eyes closing briefly. She felt bad for yelling at him. Everytime she did, it made her feel like she was yelling at a puppy. She released another sigh.
"I have to get Tia-senpai. Why don't you go to the gym first to warm up? Seirin wont be here for another hour right?" [F/N] said.
Kise hesitated, but sighed "Yeah...okay but promise you'll be there." " I promise I will. Now go before Kasamatsu-senpai yells at you." [F/N] said, arms crossing over her chest,
Kise smiled at her, causing her heart to accelerate a bit and her cheeks to feel warm. His smile was his usual smile, but it looked slightly different, or so she thought. She shook her head, telling herself it was nothing. She shouldn't think it was anything else.
After Kise left, [F/N] turned around to walk off, placing one hand over her heart, still beating quickly, the other against her flushed cheek. Her mind was going wild. She hadn't felt like this before, and the feeling was all brand new to her. Brushing it off, she headed towards the third year's hallway to get Tia. She walked up the steps and passed a few third years that look at [F/N] with curious eyes. [F/N] chose to ignore them and continued her way to Tia's classroom. The door was open and [F/N] popped her head in to see if Tia was there. She found her sitting in her seat, a small frown on her face, completely spacing out. Her eyes were glued to the sky as she leaned against her arm. [F/N] thought her senpai was very gorgeous when she let her guard down. She understood why Kasamatsu had a crush on the older female.
"Tia-Senpai!" [F/N] called out.
She blinked, her attention being dragged from the outside, "Huh?" Tia said looking over to the door.
There, standing in the doorway, was [F/N] with a smile on her face. The feeling of envy came at full speed when Tia looked over at her. Tia shook it off and did her best to ignore the aching feeling in her chest.
It's wasn't like it was [F/N]'s fault... Or was it?
Tia smiled at [F/N] and stood up, grabbing her bag as she walked towards her. The two talked about random things on the way towards the gym. Though the annoying voice was in the back of Tia's head. +
'It's her fault! She's in the way!' 'You're so naive!'
Tia snapped out of her thoughts when they reached the gym, trying to keep her insecurites well hidden. They entered the gym, where the team was still practicing. She proceeded to the bench, placing her bag down, completely unaware of Kasamatsu staring at her.
His blue eyes softened considerably when he looked at her, and he knew something was up because she'd hardly said a thing to him all afternoon. Still, he couldn't stop the rise of anger when he saw Kobori approaching her, a soft smile on his face.
[F/N] scoffed, "Can you be more obvious of your feelings, Yukio-nii?" Cursing, he looked at her, eyes narrowed, "What are you talking about brat?" Shaking her head, she was about to speak when Kise interrupted, his peppy attitude annoying her.
"[F/N]-cchi!!" He enveloped her in a hug, catching everyone else's attention. The only two who didn't pay attention were Tia and Kobori, who were caught up in their own discussion.
"I'm surprised you're here at practice, Tia. Normally you're busy with other activities."
She shrugged, rummaging through her bag as a distraction. "I had nothing to do today, and [F/N]-chan wouldn't stop going on about it. I figured I could watch the match with her."
He sensed her hesitation and sighed, a hand on his hip, "Does this have to do with Kasamatsu?"
Tia froze, a sense of guilt and sadness enveloping her heart. She remained silent, eyes staring into her bag as she had an inner battle in her head. How did Kobori know? Did someone tell him? She didn't think her feelings were that obvious. Maybe she wasn't careful enough? Whie she continued to think these thoughts, Kobori watched with careful eyes at her face, noticing her eyes dimming in sadness before going back to normal, as though trying to hide the pain.
"I don't know what happened between you two, if anything happened at all, but he's worried about you. All through last period, he was so distracted, he almost blew us up in Chemistry. I'd never seen him this frustrated."
She turned to look at him, eyes wide at his words. But when she sat down on the bench, she watched as Kasamatsu interacted with Kise and [F/N], noticing his eyes weren't as serious as they usually are. Once again, her chest tightened at seeing that soft expression on his face.
If she wasn't at practice, she would be crying right now.
Sighing, Tia rubbed her head, blowing out a breath before looking up at Kobori, a smile on her face,
“Nothing happened between me and Kasamatsu-kun. I was just busy with classes.” She saw he was about to open his mouth but she shook her head,
“It's fine Kobori-kun. Nothing's wrong.”
He raised an eyebrow, but chose not to question her. Obviously it was something she didn't want to talk about and he wasn't going to force her. [F/N] finally got away from Kise, running to where Tia and Kobori were talking. She stopped and sat down next to Tia, puffing her cheeks and crossing her arms. Tia and Kobori gave her a confused look.
"What's wrong [F/N]-chan?" Tia asked.
"I can't stand Kise! He's just... Ugh!" [F/N] said, her hands expressing her annoyance which caused Tia and Kobori to laugh at her gestures.
"That's Kise for you." Korbori said.
[F/N] just furiously shook her head "My life is miserable ,Tia-senpai." [F/N] whined, leaning into her shoulder.
Tia patted her head, "It's okay [F/N]-chan. He just adores you, that's all." "Yeah [F/N], Kise annoys the ones he likes." Kobori said, smiling at her, hoping she understood what he was trying to say. Obviously she was obvilious to what Kobori was saying and Tia patted his shoulder, trying to reassure him that [F/N] was just obvilious.
Kise ran up to the three and grabbed a hold of [F/N]'s arm once more. [F/N]'s eyes widen,
"Not again Kise! What the hell?!" [F/N] yelled out.
"Tia-senpai! Kobori-senpai! I'm borrowing [L/N]-cchi for a bit!" Kise said, running out of the gym with [F/N] in his grasp.
"Where are we going Kise? Isnt the game about to start?" [F/N] whined a bit. "We're going to go get Seirin, since they might get lost." Kise said
Before [F/N] said anything, Kise started yelling excitedly as he saw Seirin approaching him. He rushed over, dragging [F/N] behind him.
"Domo-ssu!" Kise yelled out.
"Kise!" Kagami said.
Kise stopped in front of the team, raising his right hand up,
"This place is big, so we thought we'd come get you." Kise said pointing to [F/N], who stood slightly behind him, waving hello.
"Domo!" Riko said
"Kise... Oi!" Kagami said, irritation in his voice.
Kise walked passed everyone towards Kuroko, ignoring Kagami's words. "Kurokocchi, ever since you turned down my inviation to join us, I've been crying into my pillow every night." Kise whined, pretending he was crying. "Whats wrong with him?" Hyuuga asked.
"Everything." [F/N] said, taking their attention off Kise for a moment to look at [F/N].
"Not even a girl has turned me down before." Kise said, causing [F/N] to clench her fists, ready to punch him but stopped when Kuroko responded. "Could you please stop being so sarcastic?" Kuroko asked, causing Kise to be a bit more serious.
"I'm interested to know more about the guy who's making Kurokocchi say those things." Kise said as he walks passed Kagami. " I don't care much about being called Kiseki no Sedai, but I can't ignore such an obvious challenge. I'm not mature enough to let it slide. Sorry, but I'm going to crush you with everything I have." Kise replied, shooting a glaring at Kagami.
"Sounds good." Kagami said, a smirk on his lips.
[F/N] rolled her eyes and stepped over to where Kise was standing, smacking him in the back of the head.
"Oi! You talk too much!" [F/N] said, puffing her cheeks in irritation.
"Ouch!!! [L/N]-cchi! that hurt!" Kise said.
"Good!" [F/N] yelled.
[F/N] turned towards the team, lowering her head as she gave the team an apology.
"I apologize for his actions but Welcome to Kaijou. Please ignore the idiot blonde." [F/N] said, which caused the team to laugh.
"You're so mean [L/N]-cchi!" Kise said.
"Well if you guys wanna follow me to the gym its right this way." [F/N] said, ignoring Kise's whine.
Kise watched as [F/N]'s expression softened as she latched herself to Kuroko, pain filling his topaz colour orbs. He tried to act like it didn't bother him but Kagami noticed his expression change rather quickly and wondered what that was all about.
"Tetsuya! How are you?" [F/N] asked.
"I am doing well, [N/N]. How are you? Is everything okay with you and Kise-kun?" Kuroko asked.
"Thats good to hear! I'm doing well also." [F/N] said but furrowed her eyebrows "Why are you asking if everything is okay with Kise and I?" [F/N] asked, curious at her friend's words.
"No reason. I was wondering if he was still annoying you." Kuroko asked, trying to cover it up.
"It's Kise, Tetsu. He's always annoying." [F/N] replied, sounding very defeated. It caused Kuroko to laugh and pat her on the head.
Scene Skip.
"This is it." Kise said, as they entered the gym.
They all froze, including [F/N], at the scene before them.
"We're playing on half a court?" Riko asked
[F/N] walked passed the other players, who were still practicing and wondered what the deal was with the half court. She thought they were going to play on the full court and before she left the net was not up. Seirin followed [F/N] and Kise as they walked passed the net.
"The other side's being used for practice?" Riko asked.
Coach Takeuchi stopped and introduce himself and asked who was their coach. Riko raised her hand and greeted him. He was surprised and thought she was the manager. Riko asked about the netting and what was going on which perked [F/N]'s attention.
Hearing Coach Takeuchi's words made her angry. She thought that just because Seirin was a new school, it gave him no right to belittle them. [F/N] watched as Riko became super angry and she clenched her fists. Her head snapped towards Kagami when she heard his voice.
"They think we suck. They're treating this like a sideshow to their practice." Kagami said
[F/N]'s eyes wandered towards Kise, who happen to be changing into his uniform. Coach Takeuchi asked him what he was doing and that he was not playing in this practice. Kise, who was confused at his words, immediately questioned the coach. Seeing how his words had been overheard by Seirin, he rushed over and quickly apologized for it. Though afterwards, he mentioned that if Seirin gave his starters a beating, he will definitely be put in the game. But Kise's expression changed rather quickly. [F/N] had walked away as Coach Takeuchi told her to go up to the bleachers to watch the game. She didn't get to hear anything Kise had said to Seirin. She was curious and figured maybe she can bug Kise afterwards about it.
She walked up the bleachers to find Tia sitting there, her eyes still filled with an uneasy look, which caught [F/N]'s attention. She sat down next to her, bumping her shoulders against Tia's, trying to get her attention.
"Sorry for taking so long." [F/N] said, a sheepish smile on her lips. "Oh, don't worry about it! Kise's always pulling you off somewhere." Tia said with a smile.
Though [F/N] knew her smile was a bit off, [F/N] chose not to mention it for her senpai's sake.
Both teams lined up, greeting one another before the match began. The referee mentioned to Seirin that all members should step up already. Kuroko raised his hand, telling him that all memebers were all present, scaring Kaijou when they finally noticed him.
'Who is this kid? He creeps me out.', Kasamatsu thought, an eyebrow raised. As the game started, Kuroko knocked the ball out of Kasamatsu's hand, passing the ball to Kagami, who did an alleyop. The move caused him to break the hoop. Both Tia and [F/N]'s eyes widened in shocked at what they just witnessed and couldnt believe what they just saw.
'How can someone break the hoop so easily like that?' They both thought. With the hoop broken, they switched from half court to full court, resuming the game. This got everyone hyped to see the game. Coach had finally put Kise in, which caused him to smile as he walked onto the court. The game resumed, but suddenly loud screams were heard coming from the entrance to the gym. This caused everyone who was already in the gym to look over. [F/N]'s face fell with Tia laughing at how [F/N]'s mood rapidly changed so quickly. Kise waved at them, which caused Kasamatsu to end up kicking him in the back of the head. He scolded him, making sure he paid attention to the game instead.
"Kise, you idiot! Focus on the game!" [F/N] barked from the bleachers, which suprised everyone on the court. Tia leaned to the side, giving a shocked expression towards [F/N], who only released a deep sigh and apologized to Tia for yelling. She giggled nervously, patting her friend's back.
Kasamatsu asked Kise if he understood what was going on and who Kagami was. Kise mentioned to him that he shouldn't focus on Kagami but on Kuroko instead. Kasamatsu raised his eyebrow.
"So this brat is Tetsuya, [F/N]'s childhood friend." Kasamatsu mumbled to himself.
Scene Skip.
They were going back and forth, Seirin in the lead. Kise turned around quickly, his hand accidentally smacking Kuroko in the face. Everyone froze and couldn't believe what had happen. [F/N] stood up in shockwhen Kuroko fell unconscious. Her eyes widen, feeling eyes staring back at her. She looked over to Kise, who had the look of shock and sadness in his eyes. [F/N] tried her best to smile at him, jumping off the bleachers and walked up to Kise, who was still shocked with what happened.
Tia watched as [F/N] walked up to Kise, placing her hand against his cheek and talking to him quietly. She couldnt hear what she was saying and neither did the rest of the team. Kasamatsu was a bit surprised at [F/N]'s actions, since she always shook him off, but right now she was being a caring a friend. [F/N] placed her hand against his cheek, which caused him to snap out of his worried state and looked into [F/N]'s concern [e/c] eyes. She lean into her hands which made him calm down a tad bit.
"It's okay, Kise. It was an accident. This is Kuroko we're talking about. He'll jump right back up so just focus on winning this game okay?" [F/N] spoke, whispering so the others wouldn't hear.
Kise nodded and gave her a tiny smile. She took her hand away and walked back toward the bleachers, where Tia sat with her eyes wide as an owl. [F/N] gave her a confused look back. She sat back down, doing her best to pay attention to the rest of the match. Her hands were getting sweaty and her eyes went back and forth between Kise and Kuroko, concern painted on her face. Tia placed her arm around [F/N]'s shoulder and gave her a light squeeze. [F/N] looked up towards a smiling Tia,
"Hey, you were just giving Kise encouraging words. Why aren't you taking your own advice?" Tia asked, knowing her kouhai would be alright.
Scene skip.
The match ended with Seirin winning, their screaming echoed in the large gym. The others who were breathing heavily, tried to regulate their breathing, accepting their loss. Kise stood there shocked, topaz eyes wide. He couldn't believe he lost, tears started to fall down his eyes.
His fangirls wailed at the loss and showed concern for Kise who was crying. [F/N] was surprised to see Kise crying , trying her best to come up with something to say to cheer him up.
Kasamatsu, Tia, and the rest of the team stood outside the gym, giving a farewell to Seirin. Hyuuga, the captian of Seirin , shook hands with Kasamatsu. "Because we're in different districts, if we play again, it'll be at inter-high." Kasamatsu said
"We'll be there." Hyuuga said , Riko beaming behind him. "I don't want to confess my love butt naked." Hyuuga in a serious tone, turning his eyes towards the female with a look of disbelief.
His words caught Tia's and the team's attention , wondering what that was all about. As Seirin left, everyone turned around, heading back into the gym. Kasamatsu and Tia made eye contact, quickly looking away with a small blush.
"Can these two be more obvious?" Moriyama asked Kobori.
"Seriously these two." Kobori sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. Kasamatsu cleared his voice. " Th-thank yo-you for coming ou-out to-today." Tia looked at him, noticing the blush on his face, before turning her gaze to the ground, rubbing her head.
"You did excellent as always, Kasamatsu-kun." Tia smiled, looking up at him with her blue eyes.
Kasamatsu stared at Tia, steel-blue eyes narrowed slightly. He didn't know why, but he could tell something was wrong with her. The smile he adored so much wasn't as bright, rather it seemed a bit forced. It wasn't like her usual beauitful smile he saw directed at him on a daily basis. It was definitely fake, as though she was trying to hide something. He wanted to question her but the words died in his throat. He bit the bottom of his lip, contemplating what he should do.
"If you wait a few minutes, I'll walk you home." Kasamatsu said, finding himself rather calm, shocking the brown-haired girl.
This was a golden opporunity for them to possible talk things out. He noticed she was rather quiet since lunch time, and for some reason, this made his stomach churn in knots. He wasn't sure if he had done anything to upset her, trying his hardest to think of reasons why she'd be down. Maybe she would confide in him, explain why she was hiding behind a fake smile. But was it a good idea?
"Wait.. What about [F/N]-chan?" Tia asked, an eyebrow raised in confusion. Mentally cursing, he stuttered, "She's some-somewhere around he-here. I guess you mi-might ha-have to w-wait for both of us." Kasamatsu said, looking around with a red face.
Tia looked down at her hands, noticing the slight shaking. For some reason, the thought of [F/N] being with them made her heart clench. She couldn't tell him her feelings if she was around, in fear he would run from it. Still, although they were only childhood friends, it hurt to know she was always around. The nagging voices in her mind returned, whispering those words she'd tried so hard to ignore.
'Kasamatsu-kun will never be yours.'
Sighing, Tia kept her eyes to the ground, completely unaware of the steel-blue eyes watching her.
"It's okay, Kasamatsu-kun. I have to get going so maybe next time." she whispered, walking away before her tears fell.
Kasamatsu tried reaching out for her, noticing the sudden change in her demeanor, but she'd already slipped away, out of his reach. His eyebrows furrowed in confusion, a frown on his lips as he sighed.
"I don't get girls." Kasamatsu mumbled, walking back into the gym, trying to ignore the stabbing ache in his heart.
-----
Kise walked outside towards the water fountin. He placed his head under the running water to cool himself down. [F/N] walked around the corner to find Kise talking to a green-haired giant.
"Who the heck is that?" [F/N] mumbled, listening to their conversation. She waited a bit as they finished, but it was interrupted by another student yelling at him. Midorima turned around again and spotted [F/N] looking at Takao with a weird expression on her face. He walked over and stopped near where she was standing.
"If you like Kise, shouldn't you tell him?" Midorima said to [F/N]. Takao looked at him, surprised at his words.
"Oi oi! Shin-chan you're not suppose to say that to a girl!" Takao said, sliding her a sympathetic smile.
"I only speak the truth and if she doesn't know what I am talking about, she's really a dumb girl." Midorima said.
"Oi!" [F/N] shouted, irriated by what Midorima was saying. Midorima looked at her once more, pushing up his glasses with his index finger.
"Oblivious, arent you?" Midorima asked, an eyebrow raised.
Confused at what he was saying, she questioned him. "I don't even know you and you're already saying nonsense to me." She said a bit furious.
"Obviously you two have feeling s for each other but I guess you're both too stupid to realize it." Midorima replied unimpressed, walking away from [F/N].
For the first time, [F/N] was speechless and couldn't retort. While she watched as Midorima and Takao leave, she was confused at what Midorima was talking about. Kise's voice snapped her out of her thoughts.
"[F/N]-cchi! What are you doing here?" Kise asked hugging her.
"Get off me Kise." [F/N] said, a bit annoyed.
He noticed the sudden mood change, his eyebrows furrowing
"Whats wrong [F/C]-cchi? You seem more tense." he asked, voice laced with concern.
"Who was that?" [F/N] asked, ignoring his questions. She didn't want to answer him.
"Oh, Midorimacchi? He was my teammate in junior high." Kise said
"Kiseki no Sedai?" [F/N] asked.
"Yep, number one shooter, Midorima Shintarou."
"Do you all have colorful hair or something?" [F/N] said causing to Kise to comically fall over in laughter.
