AnoeskaB’s Canvases made Shiftable

Over on TheJessaChannel the other day, one of Jessa’s artists painted a lovely portrait on one of AnoeskaB’s Superset easels and canvases, but, when finished, it wouldn’t shift up and down the walls. In chat, it was discussed that this had been an issue for a long time. So, I fixed it. Now any easels that use AnoeskaB’s Canvases can create shiftable paintings, including these by Fractured Moonlight. If you have any of these easels, then you also have the original canvas files, so you’ll need to delete those and put these in, instead. They are the simply AnoeskaB’s original canvas files with the init BHAV edited to allow the paintings to be shifted.

Usually, objects that are already in the game are not affected by new placement unless they are sold and rebought, so I don’t expect your old paintings to become shiftable.

Someone over on MTS suggested that global mods that made paintings shiftable might fix this. I tested Goggalor’s all paintings shiftable, but it did not work with these paintings. If you have one that does, please let me know.

This file includes the original set of three easels by AnoeskaB as well as all of the canvases with their placement BHAVs slightly modified. If you have other easels you’d rather use, you can delete the ones in this file, but I didn’t want to break up the set.

All credit goes to AnoeskaB. I am not sure if AnoeskaB is active anywhere or would approve this mod. I hope so, but wasn’t able to ask. However, since this is just a simple tweak to increase function for something that has been an issue for a long time, it seems to me reasonable to share it. If the creator disagrees at some point, it will be happily removed.

SpookyMagic stuff: Mummy stuff AnoeskaB’s Pyramid Build Set is collection-only but I couldn’t find the collection file so I had to unhide everything before I could play with it :B And now I’m not sure I’m even going to use it since I can’t figure out how to make it weather-proof without using an invisible floor edge default replacement. If anyone has some ideas, I’d love to hear them!? (psst @fuzzyspork) The wall pieces are categorized as rugs and there are some rcs to go with the Egyptian part of @delonariel‘s CiJ gift. The required Invisible Build Set is also included with thanks and credit to AnoeskaB.

Books are functional. The cabinet has 11 slots and is in coffee tables, you might want to use SimPE to put it in Shelves

Custom 3t2 Easels diagonal placement fix

Hi guys!

Some years ago, Anoeska published this wonderful set that added more painting options to the game. I always found it amazing, it’s such a fresh addition to the game! The only issue was that it was a second set of easel rather than a global mod, which means that all the custom easels shold have been updated separately.

That’s what the great Fractured Moonlight did - she shared a beautiful set of easel conversions from TS3 with the extra functions added and it was one of the most useful CC ever!

Last year, on MTS, gdayars created one of those fixes I was waiting for years - the functional diagonal easel. I admit it, that was one of the best fix ever done, I think everybody was completely sick of the easel working only if placed on the grid.

Few days ago, I wanted to see if was there a tutorial about what gdayars did and I found the tutorial and the kit in the original post - very easy and clear to do - and I was able to edit Fractured Moonlight’s easels and made them working in diagonal/off grid placement.

So:

-The package fixes the 12 original 3t2 easels, converted by @fracturedmoonlight Moonlight;

-I’ve only fixed the main canvas (I don’t use the child and the resized versions of the mod);

-The names are exactely the same as FM’s, if you are already using them, just replace the old files;

-The files are compressed;

-The original meshes are included, thanks a lot Fractured Moonlight!
