Hello! wanted to ask if the blind Kara au is on hiatus or discontinued?I couldn't find an update on whether it was or not on your twitter or tumblr so I just wanted to ask! No pressure in updating if you cannot/don't want to,just wanted to make sure

I’ll use this ask as the official announcement then! And I Will Never Look Away From The Light is on an indefinite hiatus until I... scrounge up the motivation and inspiration to write the last chapter. Unfortunately, both of those things are in short supply right now, so I haven’t gotten much writing done in general.

I really love the "I watched you all eat me alive." Line in your spiritmatsu fic!! The entire fic is honestly a really good display of how these thoughts take hold and, though a little rushed imo is also a good rep of how it would happen if it were the fault of a spirit. Long in short would it b k if I derived that line for a fic of my own inspired by yours? may or may not publish

Yeah no I definitely know what you mean about it being a little rushed. There was a lot more I wanted to get down before hitting the climax, but I couldn’t get it out so I wound up with what we see. umu

Ahhh I’m glad you like the line though! I’m pretty fond of it too, it felt good to write it down. One of those moments where you just sit back and think, “That’s exactly where that needed to be. That’s exactly the way I wanted to communicate that feeling.”

Aw man, that sounds super cool!! It feels really uplifting that just one line has hooked into your mind so deeply. Yes, of course you can use/adjust/revamp/take inspiration from the line!! I’ve had a handful of times where a single line or piece of dialogue has revved up my engines.

So if I may, I'm gonna predict that the brothers each symbolize a negative emotion in the Blind AU. Osomatsu represents shock. Choromatsu represents guilt. Ichimatsu represents repression. Todomatsu represents anger. And jyushimatsu represents resignation. How close am I?

Oh gosh, I’ve never gotten fan theories before, that’s kind of exciting!

When I was writing each chapter, I was thinking about how each brother would bring a unique reaction to the situation. Osomatsu would be filled with a sense of failed responsibility; Choromatsu would try to think logically about how to proceed, but all he’d end up doing is realizing his own shortcomings and how they led to this; Todomatsu, of course, has to be the blunt brother, because everyone else is gonna be tiptoeing around the problems and he really can’t depend on any of his older brothers to face this with an iron fist; Jyushimatsu is the obvious one since his chapter addresses this directly, his being the ray of sunshine, the bright side of the situation, thinking ahead to all the good times that’ll be had despite this tragedy.

As for Ichimatsu... we’ll have to see~
