I don't physically feel safe. I've been having really bad bouts of anxiety, which lead to bad outbursts that make my parents really mad, and tell me how much they hate me. My mom told me she wishes i never existed. This has been leading to really negative thoughts, and really recently I've been thinking about dying a lot. I know it isnt healthy, but I can't get these thoughts out of my head, and I'm really scared. I can't go to my parents. I don't know what to do.
Oh my!! First of all, let me just apologize for my late reply. Tumblr is not notifying me of any new messages, so I had no idea you sent this! (just so you don’t think I ignored you or postponed answering) I’m sorry!!
Now, regarding your situation, that can be indeed very frustrating and disheartening, but I just want you to know that, despite not having the emotional support that you deserve and need from your parents, it doesn’t mean that you are alone or that you don’t deserve any type of help!
The thing is, we don’t choose the family we are born into and, sometimes, there are people who are not fitted to be parents (despite many times still having children of their own). So, even though your mom said such a horrible thing, I want you to know that it is not your fault and that you shouldn’t feel bad for it. You are your own person and you deserve to be alive just as anyone else!
Going back to the help situation, I think that you should definitely seek help from someone. If your family is not an option, then try seeking it either from a friend or even from a professional! I don’t know if you’re still a student, but if so, schools usually have a counselor that is willing to help students struggling with any kind of problems, so you could even start by there! Just make sure that you have someone you can lean on, be it a stranger or not, because it is important that you feel like you’re being heard.
Lastly, I really want to reinforce the fact that you’re worth it and that ending your life is NEVER a solution. By keeping strong and moving forward, I’m sure you’ll be able to overcome your current difficulties and get to a point where you look back and are proud of who you became and of the fact that you were able to go through all of this. Never forget that and if you ever need someone to talk with, know that I’m here.
I love you and wish you all the best.
