Then there's Chester and Fred! Chester and Fred were rescued by Dogen on a mission a few years back, from a real scumbag villain who was experimenting on various animals. Both Chester and Fred were labeled as "failed" experiments because they were too old go really develop and Dogen couldnt just leave them there to be abandoned or worse
Fred is an old bassett hound that can (barely) levitate due to the experiments performed on him
Similarly, Chester can use TK, but only on little objects. He usually uses it to shove glasses off counters because he too fat and old to climb them

They still have their dynamic, but with kids in the mix it's even BETTER because they both have very different parenting styles
