I would LOVE to see a fic where instead of being turned into a cyborg, Genjis Spirit Dragon saves his life by fusing with him. But Genjis pain and rage is so powerful it turns him into a violent and basically feral dragon. Overwatch don't have much choice but to keep him locked up, spending years trying to reach him until Genji escapes. Zenyatta hears rumors of a monster in the mountains eating livestock and goes to investigate, he feels so much discord in the creature he knows he must help

angry enraged dragon genji spending years trapped within ovw headquarters until ovw is disbanded, and then he manages to get out. feral and without clarity of mind, he just follows his instincts and runs from all until he’s alone in the mountains

and zen just realising it’s not just a full dragon, but a soul trapped within his own discord, and wishing to help him find his own way back

and then genji slowly returning and becoming conscious again, and slowly learning how to return to a more human appearance, though he’s still fused with his dragon ;A;

genji being very protective and caring of zenyatta afterwards, following him around and being distrusting of most people, and having to learn to relate w them again, seeking out his own brother too
