You weren’t too interested in books before you started dating Hanamaru, but you couldn’t resist seeing her face light up when you read books she suggested to you. Next thing you knew, you were making weekly trips to the library.
Hanamaru’s really self-conscious about her height, so if something is up too high for her, she refuses to let you grab it for her. You either have to lift her or let her get on your back, or else she’ll climb on a chair.
The best date nights for you two are nights in, just watching TV or talking with each other. Hanamaru’s “low-maintenance”, if you will, and is quite content with snuggling up to you and calling it the best night of her life.
Hanamaru loves to play with your hair, running her fingers through it and nuzzling it affectionately. Likewise, she’s always begging you to brush hers and braid it.
You love to surprise Hanamaru with sweet treats, especially when she’s feeling down! If you bring her a nice snack, she’ll jump up and kiss you no matter where you two are. The only thing better than that is getting to wipe frosting off of her lips with a napkin when she’s done.
Hanamaru sometimes gets a little swamped at the temple and asks you to help. Even if you’re working and cleaning all day, you don’t mind as long as you’re close to Hanamaru. Plus, she usually gives you a smooch or two as thanks after.
You can always tell when Hanamaru has been to your locker because you’ll find flowers in it. Of course, it’s nothing like a big bouquet, but she’ll always leave some cute dandelions or roses that she picked on the way to school. In the winter when things grow more scarcely, she’ll even cut you out paper flowers.
You return the favor by slipping even cuter notes into her locker, with things that she’ll usually say to you: “make sure to get some sleep”, “did you eat breakfast today?”, “don’t work too hard!”, and most importantly, “I love you!”
