transfixus sed non mortuus by @gaybluesargent! It's a canon-divergent fic where Noah is brought back to life along with Gansey, so it deals in a different sort of aftermath. But I truly can't recommend it enough if you want to see these poor kids actually process everything that happened to them and get some sense of closure (for both them and yourself). it's probably one of the first fics I read after finishing TRC and it's still one of my favorites.

oh cute!! i'm usually really bad at these but i've also been REALLY bad at answering asks on this blog for a long time, so I'm gonna do it :D

Some aglionby boy is going to be driving about, minding his own business, when all of a sudden he is faced with Richard Campbell Gansey III, THE Dick Gansey, former King of the school halls, chained to a tree with his two lovers.

honestly he’s living his best life and i am SO happy for him and that Aglionby boy can go out and spread the news that Aglionby’s own extra-weird golden boy has found the carefree joy he so rightly deserves 😭🙏💖

For some reason I just can't stop thinking about the gangsey showing up at Declan's door demanding to know where Ronan went while the poor man is just... Resigned. He's gonna have to deal with his brothers creepy murder boyfriend and eco activists - one who is half tree, one who's powered by a magic forest and one who has an exclusive dream bee. While his youngest brother has an existential crisis. Oh and his dream girlfriend is there also.

Gansey, Blue, and Henry are gonna have so many questions if they try to circle back into town and Ronan’s not there!! They don’t know what’s going on they haven’t known about anything this whole time! Does Declan even have the energy to explain all of the Everything? No probably not, he doesn’t like revealing information so he’d be real cagey about it.

...They also don’t know about Ronan’s new emotional damage security system but. That’s fine probably they’ll sort that out.

I know Stief doesn’t want the dreamer trilogy to be TRC 2.0 and i respect that, she’s crafting a fantastic story here, but if the gang got back together for a Rescue Ronan Reunion Tour.... i would not complain.

calla works at aglionby but everyone is terrified of her so they put her in a tiny closet at a desk and just shove papers under the door. occasionally someone has to explain a situation to her and they all argue over who has to do it.

you know what honestly? I would believe that. This woman has abs of steel and no patience for anyone’s bullshit, I’m sure whatever she does at Aglionby no one wants to bother her with anything unless they absolutely have to.

i have this hc than ronan knows everythinggg about some random subject that adam learns in college so adam calls and is like "yeah we're talking about medieval politics of italy" or something idk and ronan goes "oh yeah blah blah blah" and low-key helps him study because ronan thinks it's actually really interesting so adam calls him and goes over stuff as he learns it and ronan talks about it as he's like feeding the cows or whatever and it's sweet and chill and they're in l o v e

honestly I am HERE for Ronan having some sort of niche interest that has nothing to do with dreaming, farming, or speeding cars. I think everyone has that Thing that they inexplicably know a lot about or have had a longtime interest in that has zero relevance to the rest of their life. Makes things fun! In my case, during my teenage years I became a brief expert on Carnival celebrations around the world.

I have to admit, now I’m imaging that Ronan has surprisingly detailed knowledge of the social and political history that led to the development of America’s national parks. Why? a mystery. Depending on Adam’s classes though this would absolutely be relevant somewhere.
