[MSG: Mum] Thanks :) -Finn [MSG: Mum] Oh my god, mum... -Finn [MSG: Mum] Think I'll be as tall as you soon?? -Finn [MSG: Mum] He is a total baby, he pouted for hours yesterday when I wouldn't play cluedo with him. :P -Finn [MSG: Mum] I'll remember that when he makes it again to impress you when you come home. -Finn
SMS [ lil’ bugger ] : probably already are by the time I get back, soon enough you’ll be up at dad’s height
SMS [ lil’ bugger ] : but I am still stronger than you, remember that if I need to tell you off
SMS [ lil’ bugger ] : why wouldn’t you play? :(
hc + holiday
HEADCANON;
Alex didn’t used to leave the country much as a child other than to visit Jim’s mother in Ireland. Alex has fond memories of home baked soda bread and Irish roasts, but not the woman herself. It was only in her mid teens she started travelling, and once it was just her and Sebastian living in the US, they used to have a cabin in Denver. Sebastian wasn’t big on the winter sports because of a few old injuries but for running, biking, hiking and other things it was fantastic. He still leases the cabin out, and if Alex is feeling homesick she’ll head there since her old home in Long Island was sold a long time ago.
[MSG: Mum] I will :) but you're not supposed to encourage that, mum! -Finn [MSG: Mum] The teacher totally has a crush on him btw. She's still talking about when I brought him with me when I was 9. -Finn [MSG: Mum] I'm not a kid! I'm almost thirteen, mum... -Finn [MSG: Mum] He's the kid. -Finn [MSG: Mum] It was pretty good, actually. But my mouth is still burning, I think he had too much chilli in there. -Finn
SMS [ my small being ] : Hey, you’re much better at school that I was so I give you a little slack. X
SMS [ my small being ] : Grandpa has a following, and it is scary. Believe it or not I was once a bit of a fan... of his mind, not his body. X
SMS [ my small being ] : You’re a kid compared to me, got it? It’s a mum’s job to see you as tiny even if you are getting taller. X
SMS [ my small being ] : But you’re right. He is the kid. X
SMS [ my small being ] : Next time if you put cream in with it, I know it sounds gross but it cools it down. Or at least that’s what the book said. X
[MSG: Mum] Yay! :) -Finn [MSG: Mum] Haha :) Maybe I will stay the night, that will make grandad happy. -Finn [MSG: Mum] Of course! He needs someone to look after him too, sometimes. -Finn [MSG: Mum] Nothing's better than your charred roast, mum. :) But he did ok. He made fish tacos, said he saw it on Jamie Oliver. -FINN
SMS [ my small being ] : Just make sure you take your homework with you, Grandpa Sherlock will be able to help you out with it. Maybe even do it for you and send the teacher an email saying the whole thing is pointless. X
SMS [ my small being ] : He does. Sometimes I forget which one of you is the kid. X
SMS [ my small being ] : That sounds pretty decent, I’m very proud of him. And of you for having enough courage to eat it. X
[MSG: Mum] I miss you, can't wait till you get home. -Finn [MSG: Mum] Good idea :) I'll stop by theirs after school tomorrow. -Finn [MSG: Mum] He's good, I think. But I think he missed you too, he stays up very late. [MSG: Mum] He made dinner yesterday but we've had a lot of takeaway. I kinda promised I wouldn't tell you that... :P -Finn
SMS [ my small being ] : Won’t be long now,I’ll bring back some crazy American cereals with me. X
SMS [ my small being ] : Make sure you don’t let her put the kettle on or you’ll be stuck there all evening.Although they probably wouldn’t mind letting you stay in dad’s old room if you wanted to? X
SMS [ my small being ] : He’s calling me late your time, don’t worry about him too much. It’s nice to know your looking after him though. X
SMS [ my small being ] : Was it nicer than my charred roast? X
[MSG: Mum] When are you coming home? Dad ruined my favourite shirt in the washing machine. -Finn
SMS [ my small being ] : Won’t be too long now, I think I land about lunchtime on Friday. X
SMS [ my small being ] : Did he? Take it to Grandad’s, I’m sure Hudson will fix it for you. She’s magic with those kind of things. X
SMS [ my small being ] : You can borrow one of mine if you like, just nothing hanging up in the wardrobe because that’s work stuff. And run it by dad to check it’s not his. X
SMS [ my small being ] : How’s dad coping? Have you had some real food this week or just pasta? X
