Hmmmm some h/c you say? WELL, I’m writing a one shot for my Bucky Barnes As… series where you’re both avengers and he’s your trainer. He does get a bit mean so here’s what I picture:
He would actually take forever to come up with a whole ass speech because clearly his way with words needs some work. He didn’t mean to hurt you, he just doesn’t think before he talks
He actually writes it down because he doesn’t trust himself to say exactly what he wants
Flowers? Flowers. He can throw in a bit of tradition.
He brings you the Silent Gifts - you know, the things that you’ve never said out loud but he always catches them… like, your favourite drink from Starbucks even if it’s 8372 words long or your fave customized takeout order
He’s all 🥺 “I’m really sorry, please hear me out before you tell me to go away” *cough* *takes out his crumpled piece of paper that he’s been fidgeting with* (you definitely laugh at him a little)
The make up cuddles let me tell you - he’d just be so thankful you forgave him that he’d just never let go. Even when you’re like “I have to go” he’s just “no.”
Neither of you believe in fancy or expensive gifts since you’re always in the field, so he gives you something even better: a promise to never hurt you like that again.
