My head's mostly filled with Gift Exchange ideas and I don't want to give any away so have some dog-dads-headcanons from me.
somehow they end up with one of the poddle/terrier mixes from Melanie's show dog. Totally not what Mickey wanted or expected. The puppy is all fluffy and cute and looks nothing like a pitbull.
Mickey ends up naming it Bazooka anyway to be a little shit.
Ian is totally in love with their fluffball and enjoys cuddles on the couch each evening.
Mickey is sure Baz is Melanie's spy and just there to push Mickey out of Ian's life.
Ian thinks Mickey might be a bit too dramatic about it all and pulls his husband into his lap to make him happy again.
One day Baz barks their little soul out at Lip. Mickey decided the puppy loves him after all. The two of them are best friends from then on.
